Hey guys I am noticing an issue that is really bugging me with my maverick. Wanted to see who else up in the cold north, notice it as well. My driver side window seems to ice up and doesn’t defrost get worse and worse the longer the commute making it impossible for me to see out of it. Anyone else experiencing this posted a pic for example this is the start of it gets much worse then this.

Is the defroster vent on that side working? If it is, have you tried using AC in combination with the heat? I suppose it's possible the window has a bad seal causing the issue.

I have not had the issue, the side windows clear very quickly.

Make sure you are not in recirculate mode, humiditiy will build up otherwise.

Recirculate won't work if you have the defroster on.
Still don't have my Maverick, but is there a way to make sure fresh air is still going through the HVAC system? OP you need to make sure you're in defrost or non recirculate mode.

There is a light on the recirculate button. If light isn't on, it should be fresh air unless there is some kind of malfunction. Looks like the front window is clear, so I doubt that's the issue anyway.

Correct you’re unable to recirculate with defrost on. Tried everything everyone suggested. Going to ask my dealership to check the defroster vent on the driver side, but they both seem very low when I turn on defrost mode with fans at full blast.

How long have had your Maverick? Checked the cabin air filter for obstructions? Just thinking of any possible reason for a lack of air flow, it looks obstructed.

Seems like a dumb question, but are you using max defrost?

Fully to the max does the front window quick it’s just the driver side that completely freezes up.

I'm In Calgary so have been dealing with some decently cold temps, I feel like I recall having one or two drives where it seemed like it wasn't de frosting as fast as I would have liked on the driver window but did eventually clear up.

I think the vent placement just isn't the best for this, I think the air coming from the vent on top of dash hits too high (above mirror where your window is clear), and the vent left of the steering wheel due to the dash sticking out a inch or so farther then the start of window can't hit the inside corner or the window, so really your waiting for your cab to get up to temp and air temp to reach max temp to see defrost performance.

May just have to be diligent about using your remote start and giveing the vehicle some time to heat up before commuting.
