Help with rail car tracking?

Can anyone help me with rail car tracking? I was given the rail car number back on February 18. Unfortunately Ford chat keeps saying it's still in Arizona. So I tried calling the CSX number and providing my tracking number BNSF302024...it said it had been off loaded in California...on February 11th but it didn't ship from the factory until the 15th so I am confused. My dealer is in Pennsylvania and I can't get any other information of where it's at now as they are non responsive.

If it is BNSF, try the UP number, not the CSX. My BNSF rail-car was more accurate on UP.

I called for you.

It appears to be in Wilmington Delaware. The robot lady talks fast, but it was updated yesterday or today. Included words like "Placed at Industry", which if I recall from when my Mav was shipping means it is unloaded and waiting for a trucker to drive it to your dealership.

Like paneubert said, try UP automated phone system. I had found that typing in the numbers on the keypad yielded incorrect results in the trace system for me, but it always worked if I spoke the tracking number.

I just called for yours - it doesn't give a ton of info, but sounds like your final destination is a port in Wilmington, DE at 10am 3/8/23. Last update was yesterday at 5:16am - 'Interchange Delivery', so its probably switching trains somewhere.

The last date she gives is the final destination ETA (10am, March 8th in this case), but listing the port was a new feature for me lol. Considering the OP lives in PA, and that port is right on the border, I'd guess its the last stop.

OP - you can check your ramp code on the window sticker to verify at least what state it ends up in.

But hey, train ride is almost done! She gets unloaded next week, and hopefully onto a transporter sooner than later!

It would seem like they are predicting it gets to the DE port on 3/8.

You need to call the Norfolk Southern automated line if you are coming to PA. They handle all the traffic in our part of the world.

As others said, "placed at industry" means your car is at the ramp. Might not be off-loaded yet but may be. If not, within a day or so.

At this point, it's worth reaching out to your dealer and seeing what VIN VIEW shows for the physical location of the truck. You can also register with United Road and get updates for when your truck is picked up by the transporter and delivered to the dealer lot.

There are other threads here explaining how to navigate that registration process, so I won't go into that here. Suffice it to say I knew my truck was at the dealership before the sales manager did, and I called him within the hour to arrange pickup! Unfortunately, it showed up on a Saturday, so I had to wait until Monday...

Well, your truck could literally show up at the dealer tomorrow. Or, yes, it could be two weeks. But I mean, once a truck arrives to get it, it's not more than an hour drive from the Wilmington rail yard to Doylestown.

You are in the home stretch now for sure. Congratulations on your Maverick. Get all your financing in order, take this opportunity to finalize numbers with your dealer and make the pickup process as smooth as possible by getting answers to all your questions now and dealing with any potential snags ahead of time.
