If it's snowing, it means it's warmed up around these parts.

When it's really cold, it doesn't snow at all.

Snow here as well!
Next time my teenager is taking the outside parking spot :)
Once I dusted it off the Bridgestone weather peaks did great on my hybrid. No issues on the roadways.

Ah, so that's what my truck would look like if I had a garage. 😆

Honestly my Hybrid's been doing fine on the roads here in Eau Claire fine with the stock Continentals. Or maybe I'm just used to how poorly my old Nissan Versa handles the winter. 😆

Usually all season tires do okayish in snow during the first year of life. After that, it's just not safe at all.

I mean, I've never had a problem with the all seasons on my other cars. But they salt pretty heavily here, and some of us know to slow the fuck down in certain conditions. 😆

But I also check my tread in the fall before the first snow, and replace my tires as needed.

Tread isn't the biggest problem, it's that all seasons turn to rocks below freezing greatly reducing the effectiveness of whatever tread there may be. Going slow helps, but won't always. I mean I've seen accidents at speeds of less than 10mph that lead to vehicles being totaled.

I'm lazy too, I just put some good all weather tires (better performance below freezing than all season) and it's great in snow, even up steep icy hills.

In my decades of driving, the only winter accidents I've been in have been when someone else ran a stop sign, or when I was rearended while stopped at a red light.

Also I just run at a lower tire pressure.

But that's parts involuntary when you park outside and it's been negative 40 for a week. 😆

Would it be better if I did winter tires? Absolutely. But I also learned to drive in a rear wheel drive '86 Grand Marquis with bald all seasons and not even the dream of traction control. Everything else has seemed like easy mode since.

Of course, anyone can do it. I did for years too, cause I didn't make enough money to buy better or another set of tires. Never on bald tire though, cause I'm not crazy. :ROFLMAO:

Oh I didn't drive on bald tires by choice. I was driving that '86 in 1999. I was just poor. 😆

But I got very, very, very good at keeping that car under control. Y'know, as long as I remembered to put a bag of kitty litter in the trunk.

What's hilarious is that "sedan" was a foot longer and several inches wider than my Maverick.
