This post is mainly for people who ordered a MY23 Hybrid Lariat when the order banks were open for the very short time, September 15-20, 2022.

From what I read on the forum, some Hybrid Lariats rollover MY22 to MY23 are getting built. But, I'd like to hear from anyone whose has a newer, non-rollover Hybrid Lariat, built or scheduled.

I ordered a Hybrid Lariat with Lux, 360, 360A, moonroof and SIBL on Sept 17, 2022. At the time, the dealer said expect a 5-8 month wait. Since reading many of the posts here, my expectations changed to waiting a year or more.

Recently, I talked to my sales person and he stated I have less than a 20% chance of getting one this year and may be looking at a MY24 rollover. The 3 big reasons are: #1 HYBRID (Ford only plans or has capacity to build 50% of all hybrids ordered) #2 Lariats (supply chain, chips) and #3 Dealer allocation of hybrids. My dealer is only allocated about 10% of what they ordered.

He suggested I think about changing to the 2.0 EB engine and downgrading to a XLT. He stated that even when Ford adds a 3rd shift to the Hermosillo plant, he believes it will be for mostly 2.0 EB XLTs.

I went with the Maverick because of the Hybrid and i want the Lariat because I'm getting old, almost 70 and i deserve some luxury in my retirement.

I know we all have gripes about how Ford has handled this unfortunate situation. Again, my intention here is for people to post that they ordered in Sept, 2022 and their Hybrid Lariats are built or are scheduled for production. It may give those of us with long waits ahead, some hope.

Thank you

For a moment I thought that I wrote this post (joking of course). We are in the same boat. I was not hoping for a 20% chance; but it is what it is. LOL

Young guys are not allowed to get antsy over Mavericks. I hit the magic number of 76 in less than 3 weeks, so here is some advice. Get what you want. I have a Lariat Hybrid ordered that I ordered during the September window and have a build date of 3/3, so yes, there is hope. I honestly think it is stronger for the upper tier as opposed to the XL, but no way to back it up - just conjecture. I actually found an XLT Hybrid loaded and flew from TX to Detroit to get it for my wife because hers was ordered from small-town dealer, while I ordered mine from large dealer. She had a fear of it not getting built.

Seriously, as we get older, we should be able to enjoy a few things in life, the Maverick Hybrid being one of them. Rooting for you, my friend to get that Lariat.

Oops, forgot something. I like playing with the letters for Ford, and just thought of another acronym - FORD - For Old Retired Dudes.

I was on the same boat. I had ordered on the 16th. A lariat, lux, co-pilot 360 & assist. Thanks to this forum I called my dealership informed. my salesman told me to leave everything alone. I got in contact with someone else and I was able to switch to an EB and move from P19 to P10. My truck went into production today. Hoping to have it before April. The difference between hybrid and EB is really noticed in city driving. If you’re mainly on the high way it may not be a bad idea to switch.

Had my pre-order in with the dealer here when the window opened. Hybrid Lariat Lux 360 assist. Only ordered it because of the hybrid. I have a daughter going off to college in the fall and need to replace the car she is taking with her before then. If mine doesn't get built by then I will be getting the wife a Rav 4 Hybrid instead. I have an hour commute each way every day so needed the hybrid and wanted the lariat lux to get the better seats, heated seats and steering wheel as well as the better sound system since I spend two hours a day in it.

Someone on the forum said he just left a dealer who had one a buyer did not take. Called him, did a gentleman’s agreement on Thursday while I was on vacation, they held it for me and flew up next week and got it. Dorian Ford - great and honest people.

We are nearing 60, have a '22 Lariat hybrid, ordered a '23 XLT hybrid with several upgrades in Sept. (new order, not a rollover). We have an April 17th build date now! So excited! Glad to hear we're not the only Mav-nuts who are getting two of these dandy little trucks.

I guess if we had a third person here, we would be getting a third one. Right now, don't think the 4 legged kids can get a DL. LOL.
