straight up concentrate , let it sit for 20 min , change the orientation if necessary

empty the zep , first rinse with water from bath tap , thats what a did and rinse with distilled water after 3-4 time to remove water mineral

remove as much of distilled water and blow compressed air inside , move remaining water in 1 corner and use a straw to remove the rest

let it sit in the sun light to let it evaporate the rest.

enjoy!
I be doing it with my 3rd brake light soon , I will post how I do it soon

I tried with the regular 1 and was not powerful enough

yeah I spent a lot of time trying to find the “25% stronger” version anywhere (local and online) to no avail. Even found a video from Zep from 2020 saying they changed the formula and their site only lists the regular one.

One of mine is done finally and good. Other has been stubborn the whole time but is getting there after hours of refilling, changing position, etc.

I'm planning to do this - 1 question... what about blacking out the turn signal reflector? I put the Lasfit bulbs in there and they are CRAZY bright, so I don't know that I need the reflector to project the light out - I'd really like to have that blacked/grayed out as well.

UPDATE: I live in CA (crazy restrictions here) and I was able to order the 25% ZEP on Amazon - I did have to buy a 5 gal bottle, but seems like guys are using multiple gallons of this anyway - and I have more than 1 to do....

i did the rear light last weekend it work great i used this zep cleaner and degreaser it took the chrome in seconds. i tried opening the headlights did not go well i am trying it again next weekend.

i think you can open the headlight put black construction paper on the turn signal reflector and try the lasfit if its bright enough black it out .

For the turn signals, I ended up using Matte Headlight Vinyl to darken my signals(Matte tint matched the black texture on my XL Grill). My lasfit LEDS where hella bright, they were lighting up the next block over. It also gave me that C shaped look that I wanted for my headlights.

I had vinyl on there, but didn't like the way it laid with the light.... I'm thinking I'll probably mask off and paint it when I have the entire assembly out and apart (unless I can figure out how to black out just the reflector for the turn signals)

if you are doing the front turn signal the zep will take the chrome off but the plastic turns white not black you will need to use high-temperature paint to paint it black i just did it to mine this week

Can someone who has done their taillights give me a full run down on how you did them? I saw a video on YouTube of someone that did this to their maverick but they didn’t show exactly how they did it. They had a few plastic bins filled with zep but I’m not sure if they just put the taillights in the zep filled containers and left them in there or just dunked the taillights in to fill up the inside of them them then took them out and let them sit out side of the container for a certain amount of time then poured the zep back into the container. Do you have to mix the zep with water?

hi, take them off the car disconnect the cables and take the bulbs out of the tail lights. and just pour the Zep in them move them around until all the chrome is off put water in until all the zep is out and left to dry thats it i will recommend to buy lasfit bulb for turn signal reverse and break so they are bright.

i did not mix the zep please use a container so you can leave it in for a couple of minutes mine took like less than 5 minutes
