I don't how I managed to do this but when I was walking to my Maverick after work, I noticed the lights were on. When I opened the door, it was chiming at me to let me know that the lights were on. However, I checked on my vehicle during the day and the lights were not on. I guess with the proximity key and the vehicle unlocked, the lights turn on when I approach it if they were left on. Because of this, I'm worried that I may have strained the battery. I know most cars nowadays have a safety feature where if the car detects the lights are on while it's inactive, it turns them off regardless in order to save the battery. A couple of minutes after I came home, I started it back up and it seemed fine. Turned on like normal. I don't know if I should be worried or not but I'm sure the car is smart enough to not leave me stranded. Any input?
