Mine does that too, from what I can tell it's based on what the outside temperature is when you start the truck. If it's in the 40s or below, mine turns them on automatically.

Correct, the windshield wiper de-icer feature is grouped in with all the other exterior electric heaters. Meaning rear defrost (not relevant to Maverick), heated mirrors, and wiper de-icer are all on the same button.

subscribed as mine does this also.. remote or regular key (push button start)
I can see it being on for remote start but should go off with the rest the BS when getting in and hitting the start button..... just one more button to shut off on top the auto start stop every time I get in

Yes, they only stay on for 10-15 minutes.

I personally love this feature! You can really just forget about it entirely, as it comes on and shuts off on it's own, on the initial start.

And the heated wiper park works great, mine was completely clogged with snow & ice after the bomb cyclone yesterday, and a 10 minute remote start had the wipers & windshield clear enough to start driving.

Yeah, it seems it's ambient temp triggered. If your garage was heated, that would do it. Otherwise, you'll just have to wait until the weather warms up.

Not sure it's been just a little cool here in Wisconsin. But my heated seats and steering wheel turn no when I remote start it. But the heated mirrors don't turn on until I push the button.

The package in question (w/heated wiper park) is only on the Lariat Lux.
