Here's mine with 15 bales. I try to stack most of them over the rear wheels.
I could get 28 bales in my Chevy 2500, but I don't miss the 8 mpg.

15-16 two-string bales at 60lb or so should be well within the payload. That Mav wants to work!
I had to drop some small junk trees around my fenceline this weekend and was able to fit a lot more big branches and brush in the bed than I thought. Drop in bedliner didn't get a scratch on it, surprisingly. Have been impressed with the quality of my late '22 build

Put the Maverick to work today, hauling hay for my wife’s horses. I was able to stack 16 bales comfortably in the box, and probably could have done 20 if I wanted to go a layer higher. It had no problem with the weight at all, it just doesn’t have the box volume of my old F-250. I’ll just have to make more trips.

Good job putting the Mav to work. Why have the bed if your not going to use it?

The horse lover in me needs to ask what kind of horses you have? I used to have Arabians and a Tennessee Walker. Sad to say I've been away from the horse world since 2010.

Multi-position tailgate is still standard equipment on 2023s.

The horse lover in me needs to ask what kind of horses you have? I used to have Arabians and a Tennessee Walker. Sad to say I've been away from the horse world since 2010.

We currently have an Appaloosa, two Shetland ponies, and a Welsh pony. Coincidentally, my wife used to have an Arab/Tennessee walker cross. She used to show the Shetlands in carriage driving, but they’re retired now.

I had a '62 in high school. It was lacking in power, short a gear or two, and the steering was vague to the point of being funny. It was perfect.

yes, I remember that truck. Chevy has an ad that is now a youtube video comparing the corvair to the econoline. A guy using one hand to stop the econoline from moving on icy ground. The corvair of course muscling around and generally showing up the econoline.

I see one of those Corvairs from time to time where I live. Pretty nice never seen a Econoline though. Maybe just never noticed them.

I still have the pair of 5 windows with the big six engine and Ford nine inch rear ends. Other things have taken priority, but I will get back to restoring them one day. They put a big grin on my face, and I love the classic curves and huge 8' bed. I'd turn them into daily drivers if they could safely do over 60. A bump in the road at speed on a curve, and these 2800lb solid axle trucks want to go flying.
