No 45 days email update and no online tracking anymore

Good morning,

Am I the only one in this situation? Ford mentioned in the first general email that they will email me every 45 days, well 45 days has passed since the last one and I haven't received any new emails. Their online tracking link that they previously sent me with the order also doesn't work. I called customer service, and they can see my order in still in prescheduling. The representative mentioned that the email with 45 days was a general one and went to all the orders. Still doesn't explain why they haven't followed up like promised. She also said that the tracking will not work until I actually get a VIN number. Why was the tracking sent in the first place then. Getting tired of all this bs...feels very unprofessional.

The generic online tracking tool without VIN stops working after a period of time, this is "normal" for Mavericks, anyway.

As far as the updates from Ford this is also their normal Maverick customer service standards...

That’s how it been for all of us. It’s painful at first but you will get through this. Ford’s communication doesn’t get any better. Even got my schedule week and vin awhile ago and haven’t heard anything else- while the week is almost at and end.

No 45 day update email here either. So chatted in with Ford customer service. Got the same ole order is in processing clean and will be scheduled soon.

Why was the tracking sent in the first place then. Getting tired of all this bs...feels very unprofessional.
The 'view online' link in the initial confirmation e-mail isn't to any tracking page. It's just a webpage copy of the e-mail to view in case your e-mail previewer breaks the formatting. It expires after a month or so.

So, yes, you won't get real tracking access until you are scheduled/have a VIN.

I just received my second 45-day email this afternoon. I feel like this is a rite of passage. At least they haven't totally forgotten about me.

I haven’t received a single email from when I first ordered Nov 2021 til now. I’ve also never received updates from dealership unless I initiated. I’ve tried telling my salesperson to update my email but he insists it’s in there correctly. If I received any updates, I would probably be a week or 2 out from getting my truck. Thankfully I reached out to my dealership to roll my MY22 over, 1 day before cutoff out of coincidence. At least I’m scheduled for week of 1/30/23… Never have I heard of such a chaotic experience.

Same. I've tried to forget about the truck in between these emails and keep my expectations low so that if I do actually get a 2023 truck, I'll be genuinely happy. Lingering on here all day and trying to calculate the constraint percentages ad nauseam would give me heartburn, I think. If it happens, great. If not, oh well. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Check your spam folder, that is where mine went first time. Tell your computer it ain't spam even if its not good news.

Got my second 45 day email today. Mav Lariat with all the goodies ordered 9/16/2023. I have a perfectly good 2017 RAV4 and a "call me if you ever get one" on file with local Toyota dealer for a 2023 Cross Hybrid.
I could be driving the RAV for a long time.:LOL:
