I just passed my 1 year mark with my xl eco awd. I got it with a moonroof, soft trifold cover, 4k tow, and all weather mats.

I have been extremely satisfied with the truck overall. It’s the perfect truck for my lifestyle and work. It fits in my garage too!

Only a few minor complaints, but they are minor so not worth mentioning. My only real issue is with the infotainment system, it truly sucks! Delayed response, glitches, freezes….
I’ve learned to work with it.

Some things I’ve added in the past year:
12 volt plugs in the bed
DIY bed rails
Thule roof rack
Auto dimming home link rear view mirror
replaced speakers and added a small powered subwoofer
I’m in the process of installing heated seats. I have the pads in, just running the wiring now.

Next up, cruise control.

Really is a great truck, better with these pretty basic add ons.

This is good to know. I have the same engine/drivetrain setup and it's reassuring to hear no issues and just routine maintenance. Question, with all those miles, how's the interior holding up? Are the plastics wearing well or heavily scratched from constant ingress/egress? That's a common issue with the Maverick since the plastics are so brittle and have no give.

Do the Thule rack feet go on and off easily?

My Subaru Forester has little hatches in the plastic strips in the roof that open to expose threaded holes for the Thule feet to attach. The racks go on or off in five minutes. If the Maverick set up is as convenient, I'll get racks for it.

Surprisingly the interior is holding up we, no scratches yet, and I’m in it a lot as you could see by the mileage. The plastic on the exterior however, look at it wrong and it gouges from fear I think! Very soft and around the top of the bed, probably won’t look good in another year.

Went on in 1/2 an hour, easy enough. Haven’t taken them off yet. They are used quite often as a headache rack. I positioned the rear one so I can carry extension ladders and longer materials.

It isn’t in my Amazon history anymore, not sure why but here is a similar one. I paid about $15 less. So far, easy enough to install once I figured out what hog wires were, that was the hardest part.

Thanks for this, I want to add heated seats if I ever get my XL.

What are hog wires? How does the seat cover come off? It does not look like you had to remove the seat?

I didn’t have to remove the seats. I mostly followed this video.

Hog wires are a common upholstery connection (as I found out). The video suggests just cutting away the fabric that connects to these wires but I decided to use almost all of them. Theee we’re a few other videos I checked to confirm how I was doing this, I don’t recall those though.
I think I’ll install the switches on either side of the 12 volt outlet.
