Pretty awesome. Love the fender flares. Put that on adjustable air suspension to kick up the clearance, tune it up to about 330hp, and give it the Tremor diff.

didn't notice it at first but i agreeIs it just me or does the front passanger wheel look really bent? It's wobbling in all the rolling shots and I don't think it's the video stabilization.
I would buy that rear bumper roll pan if it could be made out of aluminum or steel, and was a little higher. It would provide a much better departure angle vs the stock bumper.came across this video while looking up SEMA
I like the truck as well - with two not-so-minor exceptions (more below). I really like the rims, tires, and fender flares. I even like the color scheme and the graphics on the rear quarter panels. The pink accents are a bit bold for me, but I like it for a show truck...First, I love the truck. The choice of colors is bold, but isn't that what customs are all about. If you think about custom building and remember what came out of LA in the '60s, this Maverick build is still actually useful. A lot of customs were not. This would be the perfect truck for my wife.![]()
Sorry, I didn't notice that the truck bounced around and I'm not a fan of slammed trucks either. But, I do like the small trucks lowered a bit and that's one of the reasons I purchased the 2001 and 2003 GMC Sonoma ZRX which was slightly factory lowered with an improved suspension system.I like the truck as well - with two not-so-minor exceptions (more below). What I don't like:
1) Watching that thing bounce around driving across a billiard-table smooth parking lot though gave me a backache just watching it... I just don't get the point of slammed trucks.
2) Still useful? There's no longer a bed - it's now a repository for an overblownstereosound pollution system, useful only to annoy those around you, and impose your music taste on everyone within a 3-block radius. Isn't the whole point of a "truck" to have a bed so you can haul stuff? With all that crap in what was already a small bed, what's the point? (I know, I know... It's a showpiece, not a "real" truck... I just don't think it needed that to be really cool. Could have done a super upgrade to the sound system inside the cab.)
Nope - the only time I was in Tyler was for my son's high school football playoff game - oddly enough between Allen HS (Allen) and Carter HS (Dallas). Why they made us go all the way to Tyler for that game is beyond me... Could have picked a neutral site mid-way between the schools. But that's Texas HS football for you!Jim, did you used to work at an engineering company in Tyler?
Hey I know what you mean about Texas High School Football playoff locations. I've had my share of enigmas about scheduling. But, there is no better football at any level than Texas Football from 6 man to 5A powerhouses. Love it.Nope - the only time I was in Tyler was for my son's high school football playoff game - oddly enough between Allen HS (Allen) and Carter HS (Dallas). It’s interesting since it’s on airbags, I’d think it would have been riding smoother
That truck looks like it’s riding in Scale Coilovers with the low springs (lol but not lol)
