Yes, it is 0% and I do qualify for that with a 815 credit score, however you cannot apply that 0% with the farm Bureau $500 cash deal. The farm bureau deal , ford will not let you take 0%. So I had to do 1.9%

BTW, my grandfather was a banker. He taught me all the tricks in regards to how loans and mortgages work. Thats how I took a 30 year mortgage and payed it off in 10 years, and never ever ran a car loan out the full length of time.

He also stated that
"life was like a $hit sandwich. The more bread you have, the less $hit you will have to eat"

He never bought brand new cars either. That's the only place I differ. As a mechanic, I want it new from day one, only because I will spend the extra on quality filters, synthetic oil, and an enhanced mtx program. This allows me to run a vehicle a very long time. My 94 silverado I bought new is still with me 28 years later. Original drivetrain and original clutch.

I used ole Betsy 2 days ago to pick up a Chrysler engine block from the machine shop. To me vehicle year age is only a number. Betsy will not get sold because of the new truck. On the contrary, they actually compliment one another. My maverick will be a daily driver, and use for small pickup stuff. My 94 will be used for the big pickup stuff.

Heck my wifes 2013 Grand Caravan has 168K on the odometer. Vehicle is in perfect shape, but front wheel bearings are starting to growl. I will be changing out front wheel bearings/hubs on it next week. When it hits 200K it will go away. She wants a Mazda CX30. And by God she should get to have one in whatever color and options she picks. We have a savings going for the vans eventual replacement, along with whatever its trade value in is, or we may just sell it on our own.

I have a 2008 chevy HHR "Lucky" this is soon to be my previous every day daily driver. But between Betsy, Lucky, and the Mav that I am going to call the "Silver Buffalo" I have 3 different vehicles to choose from to go to work. Betsy and Lucky are long payed off, and only cost me $400 a year total in liability insurance. Why sell them. Betsy the 94 Silverado is definitely worth waaay more. People still love these GMT400s. No rust, no dents, clean inside. People are now restoring them. Mine doesnt need very much. Lucky is worth maybe $1000 on a good day. He is worth more to me as transportation. On a bad weather day, Lucky is the vehicle of choice.
That era of Silverado is timeless in my mind. No way would I give it up either.

Sad to hear that. I didnt catch what you got there. But a story of hope. My mom was diagnosed in 91 with multiple myeloma and they gave here 6 months. She made it till 99. Saw my sister graduate. My wife diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer 6 months before our wedding. 3 years later she is about 80% as tough as she ever was, which is about 1.5 the strength of most dudes I know. With every struggle there is a opportunity to "show em up" at the least. Good luck!

@Maverickman74

Thank you for the well wishes and stories of true hope… always heartwarming and great to hear. What great news for you and your loved ones- sorry to hear about your Mothers passing but she sounds like she was quite the optimistic fighter. Continue to take courage from your loved ones and please give your wife a hug and best wishes for her continued good news about recovery.
I will keep swinging for the fences……👍

All the best … ✔🇺🇸

There some guy on FB also got his Maverick from Granger and he got the Farm Bureau plus 3k discount and 0%/36 months. So it’s possible just depending on when you sign up for the Farm Bureau.

Alright midwesterners, let's get down to the important stuff with my trip in just 3 days time...I'm definitely gonna make a Hy-Vee run before I get on the road to stock up on goodies. Where else should I stop on my trip to get all things midwestern? You can check out my route below...decided on the slightly longer route mileage wise, as I've driven through Western Kentucky and Tennessee quite a lot, but have never seen any of Iowa or much of Illinois.

I did a quick search of this thread with no useful results. So, has anyone had their truck shipped from Granger to home? I live in Florida and prefer to have it delivered here instead of driving it home. Looks like about 1,800 miles drive plus flight there and hotels and food going home.

I saw where somebody got a transport to do it. I think $1 per mile. If you push, you can do it in 2.5 days straight thru with a second willing driver. I did 1900 miles from Texas to N.J. in 31 hours when my grandpa passed away. It was right after 9-11. I wasnt going to fly. Wife at the time and I traded off driving and sleeping and stopped to pee, gas up, and eat. First part of the trip we had a cooler and stuff to make sandwiches, and had snacks, drinks etc.

I think there's information within the main Granger thread, but sorting through that thing is impossible lol

Grab yourself some tasty tacos or Culver's when you're in the Des Moines area. And Francie's, just north of the DM airport, has the best Reuben I've ever eaten.

Biscuits and gravey from a caseys! Breakfast ends at 9:30am. If they don't have it ask, it only takes 5 minutes.

I personally don't care for the breakfast pizza, but it is popular. The regular pizza is probably considered a state resource in iowa , they sell so much of it. My favorite of the regular pizza is sausage, or veggie, or Supreme.

there's a caseys right across the street from the car lot. Then in just about every town you will go through in Iowa and Missouri.

Would love any more feedback about the farm bureau $500 and the 0% for 36 months being used together.

What is this Casey's that you speak of? So theres one right across the street from Granger motors? If so, i may have to try it. No news on the brake light recall for me yet. When it does get fixed, I will be taking I-35 south going through Oklahoma to Texas. We have Buckys down here.
