I have 18,000 miles on my 2.0 and have had zero issues except this deep sleep b.s., for the past couple of weeks its common place every time i try to use the app to lock the doors or start the truck its in sleep mode. I can see this could happen after maybe a few days not using the truck but even thats kinda lame, i use my truck everyday several times a day so no time to discharge the battery. Has anyone had this problem addressed on the 2.0 ?? This is really my only issue to date and with winter fast approaching this sucks. I really hate going to the dealer and having my truck messed with. As i am writing this i just tried to lock the doors no go!

I would go to dealer and get battery tested they will warranty it and fix charger if that's the problem. If you don't want to do that get a good charger for the type of battery it is. If it's a sealed deep cycle (I expect it to be but i have hybrid 2.5 and don't know what's in 2.0. if battery is close to deep sleep it's most likely below 12v and to fully recover to 99%+ it could take a week as it may wait several seconds between pulses to prevent overheating battery). Good luck.

There could be an issue in Ford pass in that your battery voltage is getting low and Ford pass doesn't distinguish between 2.5 and 2.0 and should just be reporting "12v battery is below 12volts attention required" for your 2.0? Is there such a thing as deep sleep in a 2.0???

Deep sleep doesn't sound like a battery issue but more like a truck computer/wifi and cell phone communication issue. I've gotten this same message with the Ford app. The Wi-Fi on the truck doesn't seem to be registering the cell phone signal so the truck computer is not starting the engine. At least that's what it seems to me.

When in deep sleep mode "computer/wifi and cell phone communications" are put to sleep/disabled to save battery so they will not work.

WTF??? Sounds to me like a leaky accelerator pump diaphragm? Im gonna get Forscan and disable everything that the truck doesnt need to run, work the lights, and tune in the radio!

Makes sense to keep the battery from draining but defeats the purpose of being able to use the Ford apps via cell phone.

Sounds like a battery issue. After battery drops below certain voltage it cuts auxiliary services to save juice. Seems it's happening quicker now so deep sleep. Could also be faulty sensors.

Yes that's what happens. I did not know if the EB and Hybrid did the same. In both the hybrid should have fewer deep sleeps than EB in that it has HVB to provide trickle charge to 12v down to it's minimum allowed SOC. In the EB with Ford pass and etc running 24/7 that would be super BIG vote for 12v deep cycle which could draw down to below 50% without harm. Whether by on board charger or separate maintenance charger the battery should be 100% charged about every 60 days. I have not placed my Hybrid 12v on maintenance charge yet as I drive at least 3 times a week and cab power point meter shows 12v at 12.1v-12.8 (seldom but usually 12.7) which seems normal. Have never received any messages concerning DS. Probably need to check out remote start to run 15 minutes every couple weeks to ensure batteries remain charged (I would probably aim for weekly as I tend to over kill)

I have a 2012 Honda that will not 100% charge battery UNLESS I run daylight running lights and cabin fan motor to keep voltage regulator at 14+ volts. Every thing always works but battery would die in 24-36 months. Current battery pushing 58-60 months and may replace it anyway.

I don't have my Maverick yet to verify, but I seriously doubt that it has a deep cycle battery. I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere and in fact it is commonly advised NOT to use them in place of your automobile starting battery. They are intended for marine and RV use where they are regularly cycled between topping off full charge to depletion multiple times. Good for small solar systems too, but not advised for personal transportation vehicles .

In EB it is a starting battery. Different in Hybrid as it only closes relays so HVB can furnish starting current. It could then furnish longer periods of current for computers, etc as well as be maintained by HVB for an additional period of time depending on HVB SOC. I do not know what it is actually. Going by voltage readings on my hybrid first edition.

Just went through the same thing. Also noticed that auto stop was not working. I checked the battery voltage and it was low. I charged the battery over night voltage was back to 12.8 and for 2 days all was good. Than it was back to doing it again deep sleep notification and no auto stop start. Made an appointment for warranty. Dealer replaced the battery under warranty and I received a better battery an AGM . Very happy no more problems.

By the way I should clarify , I said DEEP sleep mode but what I should have said is just sleep mode, on the 2.0 eco its not Deep sleep as on Hybrids. My 2019 Wrangler had 2 batteries the regular large one and a second smaller (motorcycle ) size battery to handle the start stop feature. You would think that Ford promoting all this DIY 12 volt power supply in the truck bed plus 400 watt inverter Bla bla would have ample charging capability on board. On my hunting trips with the Jeep I would leave my 12volt cooler pluged in overnight and the Jeep just did not care I never noticed any change In starting power.
