Just wondering if folks who have gone thru their first tank and refilled with higher octane if any noticeable power gains and or mileage was achieved ?

Cheers-

Good question for everyone but MrBoom. He took his truck apart. It’s not going anywhere!

I get a solid 3 more mpg going from 87 to 91, but the 91 has no ethanol, also power is noticeably better with 91. 87 without ethanol is not available here so I can't test that.

3 mpg won't justify the cost difference.

Only if you want the extra power. Last month my math says it costs me 11.1 cents per mile with 87 & 12.2 cents per mile with 91, so it's not a huge difference, but if you have to count pennies then yes it's not worth it.

i wonder if anyone has gone with some Ethanol? Alot of plans made for when i get mine landed. immediately under the knife. Trying to finish off 2023 with being one of the fastest mavs on the east coast lol..

from alot of videos ive seen, people claim their butt dyno notice increases in power when going from 87->93/94

If you are towing or driving through mountains it makes sense to up the octane too.

Is this for the hybrid or the EcoBoost?
The engines are so different I could see it making a difference for one but not the other.

The main difference will be a lighter wallet.
