Hey all,
Picked up a 22 Lariat Hybrid, Shadow Black, a few days ago. Traded in my 2016 Nissan Frontier 4x4. I paid a little over MSRP, but I'm in SoCal and literally every dealer is about 5-10k over MSRP. Hell, even Toyota Corolla are selling for crazy money. They gave me more for my trade-in than I think it was worth. I was a few months out from needing a transmission rebuild on it anyway.
So I commute 150 miles a day, was inching close to 1300 a month on gas alone with the nissan. I've gotten over 40mpg on the first tank and seems to be tracking that way on the second tank of gas. I'm extatic.
I mostly use my truck to transport my bikes. I have a few. Kind of an enthusiast. I do MTB, road, Gravel.... you name it. So this truck is perfect for that. I also camp about once a month, and with the tonneau, I can still pack all my gear easily. I never really used the towing capability or 4x4 in the Nissan, so i don't miss it, and I miss being in a Ford.
I used to have an 89 Bronco II with a 5.0 swapped in, had a 90's Taurus SHO, and my last Ford was my old 2001 Ranger XLT. I'll post pics tomorrow. Spent all afternoon decorating for Halloween and I have some spicey potato water to catch up on.
