I plan to use the side cubby for a cell phone holder. I think that's the PERFECT spot. It's up higher and more at natural eye level. My current vehicle has the cell phone holder down low on the center console. So everytime I need to look at it, I have to look down and away from road. I don't use SiriusXM or integrated navigation, instead I use Pandora and Google Maps, so having the phone higher is perfect.

Keep the cubby!

Because that what it is lol

I like the tremor seats but i still think the current lariat color scheme is great and classy.
its also different than most things out there and in a good way.
At least the interiors in all the mavericks ,are different than the ALL GRAY that is in 99% of everything the last 20 plus years.I would get so sick of gray I would order on ebay different color seat covers and switch them out every 6 months or so-even now my f150 stx black/gray ,I have my 6th seat cover in the last 3 years.in the "good ole" days" even the 80,s-90,s you could get 5-6 color choices of interiors.

This is my plan as well. Though I do have a question about running android auto. From what I can tell android auto only output's it's interface to the external device (car radio). Can I have navigation showing on the car's display (via android auto) and my music/podcast player showing on the phone's display with the audio from the music/podcast player going through android auto to the car speakers? I.e. leverage android auto for a dual screen experience?

I use Google Maps and Pandora at the same time with our 18 Murano and an iphone. Hopefully can do the same in our Mav whenever it comes.

What cell phone holder will work in the cubby? I really like the idea!

Yeah, I don't know. I always keep my vehicles for 15+ years, so I've never had Android Auto before and don't know much about it. It would great to have Pandora on one and Google Maps on the other.

I agree with some, if I'm buying an XTL or Lariat I want the XLT/Lariat interior trim. Personally, I think the XLT trim would be a better fit for the Tremor with its orange accent items as they'd tie into the exterior trim too.
But I can see why Ford does what they do for the interior trim with the Tremor & BAP packages, it's about cost and not having the complexity of more interior items to coordinate and produce for each variation offered in trim packages. It's about keeping it simple and least expensive to produce as possible.
