Different VINs and Customer #s

Hello Everyone,

September 9, 2021 my ordered was confirmed with Ford.
Alto Blue XLT hybrid with CP360, spray in Bedliner, Hard Tonneau Tri Fold andTrailer Hitch.

Mid August I received the "Bear with us" email telling me about the potential of rolling over to MY 2023.
The Next day I received another email stated I was scheduled for production on the week of 9/16/22.
I received the next email saying my Maverick had been built, the next day, another stating it had been shipped (9/24).

On 9/26 I received an email(all from Ford) stating my maverick had been built with a following email the next day stating it had shipped.

My question is...I have (2) different Customer #'s and (2)
different VINs.

Was there some glitch that I am getting 2 Mavericks?

2 different emails stating it had been built and 2 different emails stating it has been shipped.

Emails have track button?
I copied my VIN and used my Customer # from first email and it replied with error code.

The VINs and Customer #s are supplied in the email. Both are different.

Almost sounds like your dealer used your E-mail on your order and another persons order. Call your dealer and have them check.

Maybe. The last 4 digits are 1090 and 0907 on the VINs and my customer number in 110 numbers apart.

I put a $100 deposit on one, I know the dealer would gladly take it.
But I would too, sell it for 5k over invoice and call it a day.

I just realized it a few hours ago, 1 was "shipped on 9/24, the "other" was shipped 10/1

I did have 2 Mavs built, the first one was delivered today, the 2nd should be here by Monday.
Dealer text me that my Mav had arrived then called about an hour later, "Something weird happened, and 2 Mavs were built" I asked I'd I could buy them both, he said "sure".

Text me about an hour later "We can only sell you the one at the agreed MSRP".

I called Ford, and explained the situation. Ford told me the dealer was an independent contractor and could charge over MSRP.

So no 2 Mavs for me☹.

Sounds like they just wanted a stock maverick and used your email to get it. Probably figured you wouldn't ask for both of them.

Possibly, although they claimed they found out today.
They wanted me to pick up the 2nd Mav which showed up first.
Also they are identical, if they used my email to order one, I think they may have not chosen the same color and every option I did.
