Does anyone have experience adding power seats to a vehicle?

I know the XL is available with power seat as a fleet option, so hopefully it can be done relatively easily

Since the position controls are on the seat itself it should mostly just be a matter of swapping the seat and hooking up power. Depending on how much Ford unifies the wiring harness across trims the connections may already be there.

I have an Oxford White XL reserved. Only option I got was spray in bed liner. I'll definitely be painting the steel wheels black.
Mine is also oxford white 2.0 no other options. KISS Keep it simple stupid

My XL is scheduled to be built September 20. Cactus Grey. No options except blind spot. Plan to change out wheels and add bed liner. Perfect for a city-bound truck!

Out here in the wild wold west, you can still get rims/wheels powder coated for less that $30.each. I took my 5 Model A Ford wheels to a tire shop ( chain ) called Les Schwab. I picked one of the 8 stock colors as the yellow matched perfectly with my Ford Tacoma Cream color, beautiful. This was for 5 very used 90 year old rims.... they cleaned them, then removed all the original paint finish before sending them to their powder coating facility.

Could not be happier with the finished product. A real value and a source to think about with regard to the Maverick steelies being upgraded from the stock silver.✔🇺🇸

One of the things I'm really looking forward to with all of these bare-bones XLs being chosen for scheduling is all of the nice XL pictures and videos that'll flood the forum soon. Really looking forward to some better documenting of the XL's interior, like we have for the XLT and Lariat.

I think the media embargo is being lifted soon too, but I still don't have much hope for many (or any) videos/photos showcasing the XL. I'm starting to get the impression that they're intentionally showcasing less of them to keep people interested in the higher trim levels...

That a great deal....when I was reworking the '87 Ranger I must have called no less than 5 coating placing in NC and almost like price fixing, they all wanted $100 / wheel to media blast and coat in a stock color. So I went with new $25 15inch "trailer" wheels from Summit Racing, they are just OK, not the roundest of wheels. I'm going to get a custom metal table coated in a weeks and was considering asking if they could do the wheels in the same color at a better price.

I have an order in for an XLT, but the more I think about it, the less I feel like I need the extras that come with it. Heated seats, steering wheel, mirrors, and wiper rest were the only features I was buying it for, but with the ability to remote-start the truck through FordPass, are they really necessary anyway? As long as I start it a few minutes before leaving in the winter everything should defrost well enough. Convenience is a big plus but I bet I wouldn't notice those features after not having them for a while.

Cruise control is always nice but available aftermarket. Plus, I lived without it for years and never minded. Only learned to use it within the last three years or so.

After replacing that god-awful beige headliner, the black-on-navy interior in the XL will look a real treat, too.

Someone talk me out of/into this, because I'm about to send an email to my dealer! 🤣 Doesn't hurt that it seems like a lot of bare-bones XLs are being chosen for build dates too...
You do realize the xlt does not come with heated anything. That required the luxury package.

Yup! I realize that. I previously had an XLT luxury on order (may be returning to it after some consideration).

Just like my '96, except less rust! I still have it, over 200k miles now. Also my favorite vehicle ever. I would buy a new one if they were still like this.

The Maverick is a compromise for me. What I really want will not be produced again, so this is the next best thing.
Just reading these mileage numbers…a 96 with 200k? My VW Sportwagen (I think it is a 2011) has 250k, and my 2017 Fit has 150k- guess we know why I went XLT and cruise control lol

I decided to go the other direction from my Lariat...SO I figure for the same money I could go XL 2.0 AWD and load it up....and I did until the constraints entered...and look at my $26,600 Maverick now....In my Signature
