Finally got around to messing with the badges
And cleaned up the hitch area
I didn’t want to try to paint them myself so I tried using NiteShades spray tint (did a test beforehand)
It’s pretty cool, made the chrome lok like black chrome and darkened the Ford blue to a near black
No idea how well it’ll hold up but if it goes to crap I’ve got back up badges I can have painted

The badges look awesome! Also love the cap makes everything looks clean. Do you have part numbers for the badges? Also how hard where they to remove and put back on? Is there any videos on how to do it?

I don’t have the part numbers for the badges as I ordered them via the part counter at my dealer
The rear badge is super easy to remove
Front one I ended up just masking off the front
My guess is you would have to remove the grill bar and pry the badge off since the replacement has a full pad of adhesive on the back

I wish I would of order that color instead of black. It looks like it really pops in the sun! Also for your hitch cover was it just a blank cover and you cut out for around the hitch?

I used a cutoff wheel in a dremel to cut it
It’s basically just a slot cut front the top to the bottom of the receiver

Start with it too small and nibble away until it fits
You can always take more off but putting it back on is hard

No updates other than I can not wait for the black appearance package parts to become available
I actually ordered a 23 with BAP as well
Lol

Don't tell anyone, I did this as well 🤷‍♂️ I don't think the BAP emblems will be enough to tide me over on my current Lariat, I want the whole package now that I know it comes with the lighting and interior.

Did you go with HPR again or something different?

Ordered carbonized gray because I figure by the time it gets built I’ll be bored of the best color offered (Hot Pepper)
Plus my dad has a hot pepper lariat that’s being built next week so I’ll be able to see one if I need to

Wanting to change the color of the grill bar
Debating going gloss black or HPR
Normally I have no issue making decisions like this but for some reason I can’t decide
The silver has to go either way

I think the silver kind of ties the Lariat lights together and looks pretty good, but between gloss black or HPR, I'd vote HPR (y)

Although if you could match it with the bronze from your wheels :love:

If I do manage to receive my 23 BAP, I'll be matching the grille to body color. I think the gloss black grille bar will just be lost in the mix.

I might have to give bronze some thought
That would be interesting
