Got my order through on Friday afternoon (XLT EB 4k Carbonized Grey) and received the Ford confirmation email within 30 minutes. Paid a $500 refundable deposit, provided a copy of my DL and also signed an order with pricing document. This doc included the order code and sales code.

I chatted with Ford CS tonight and provided the order code and sales code in hopes of confirming that my order is actually completely submitted.
Here is the text:
I show your 2023 Maverick in In Order Processing. The order has been received and is awaiting scheduling action. Your order has been entered into the Ford Ordering System. It will then be scheduled and placed in the first available production week.

Does this mean anything? I emailed my sales person tonight asking to confirm that all steps of submitting the order are complete and will call in the morning.

A bit stressed with what sounds like a hard deadline quickly approaching...

The response definitely means your order is in the system. But based on the experiences on this board over the last year, I would suggest that you get a copy of the 'APPROVED' ROVP/COVP from your dealer. This guarantees that FORD will consider your order at some point. If the order is not 'APPROVED' by FORD, it will be sitting in their system until they start looking at MY24 builds.

This ☝ Relax and breathe. You are in it now, just relax. Read some mod threads, watch some videos. Ford video guy on YouTube is great. You will get your truck, it just won't be next month.

Yep, last year many people blew this off saying they had the confirmation email and chat confirmation. Then at the end of the 22 build season, posts started popping up about how their orders were canceled by Ford and it was beause they didnt have COVP.

If I am not mistaken, I believe Tim said that the COVP is not being used this year. We will have to wait and see what he has to say about it tomorrow.
