Have a 2022 ordered XLT 2l. Ordered beginning of this year. Well emailed dealer few weeks back. They responded yeatorday finelay, the guy I dealt with is gone so new guy so part of reason for delay. But told yep it will be 2023 now. But also that I would have a price increase (the don't know what the increase is yet) Note this is in Canada.

So if I already ordered, why should I be subject to a price increase, that's not my fault they did not deliver. Also I have checked and interest rate up 0.5 % for financing since I ordered and I would not be surprised to see that go up..I was told I was locked in at the rate I ordered at. But hey if they can jack my price I am betting they can jack rate. So not impressed there.

They said I would have to go in some time in September to lock things jn and sign doc's. I may make a run in earlier to find info..2023 and longer wait I am ok with, but a jacked price annoys me. Also worried worse interest rate, but it sure there

I saw state side that people who ordered 2022 get a special price on 2023, anyone know if that covers Canada and what that pricing is ?

We, state side, don't have price protection for a 2023.

We only had price protection if the price of the 2022 went up after you ordered the 2022.

The price of the 2023 is going up. Those of us who have a pending 2022 order are going to get a "private offer" from Ford to assist with the difference in 2023 price. There has been a lot of speculation but we have no idea how much of the price increase is going to be covered by the "private offer". We also don't know how the "private offer" works with other things like the x-plan or "market price adjustments"

Ask about the "Special offer" to compensate for the '22-'23 price difference.

What "special offer" Please expound.
Ford sent out I letter saying, because of delays and the necessity of converting the '22 orders to '23s they would compensate the 22s with that Special offer. Nothing solid but we've been understanding this special offer is for that price increase. Look at some previous posts here and ask your dealer.

I think that you are referring to the email of June 29th for the "private offer" . There is a lot of speculation but nowhere has it been stated how much of the price increase will be covered.

If you know of another communication of a "special offer" covering the price increase, please share it with us.

June email: "Understanding you may not be able to take delivery of your 2022 Maverick order, we will be making a special private offer discount available beginning in August to those customers whose orders go unscheduled. This private offer may be applied towards the order and purchase of a 2023 Maverick"

Ford has not announced this yet.

Based on what they have done for a few other models, my expectation is that it will be a set amount based on what trim level you order for 23. But I may be wrong!

Perhaps I should have said speculating rather than understanding. That's what my dealer said it was for but he's kinda in the dark too. I hope we KNOW soon.
