I order the XLT AWD EB package last Dec. I am thinking a VIN will most likely not be assigned in MY22. If that is the case, if Ford offers the AWD Hybrid before my VIN/order is finalized, I was thinking keep the XLT package and all options, just change out EB for Hybrid.

In this scenario, would I go to the back of the line?

To the best of my knowledge, the private offer doesn't look back to your previous order. You could have ordered a Lariat Lux Hybrid with 360 and a trailer hitch, and order an XL with no trimmings.

That having been said, the AWD Hybrid is expected to be a mid- year thing if we see it at all. I'm not sure I'd want to sit on a private offer that long.

I don't see an AWD hybrid for this year, but as long as you stay at your dealer you should still be ahead of 23MY orders. You may be at the back of the 22MY orders but there shouldn't be a ton of them. Do you have a Lux package on yours? If not, there is probably a good chance you get scheduled for 22MY still. The last month will be all Ecoboost without Lux packages.

I would hope they look at the previous order and the new order and make up for the 2 price increases since I ordered. Could get tricky if you do make a big change to the order.

I'm willing to bet you aren't getting a AWD Hybrid until a major refresh in MY24/25. Ford uses a 2-3 year cycle for the most part. The powerboost 150 didnt come until the 21' refresh and before that it was 18', then 15' for the f150.

How about if you switch dealers? Would you go into the new order pool or will it be treated like a rollover?

I was told by a Ford corporate rep., that the private offer would be conditional on staying with the same trim level. (XLT, etc.)

Word through the grapevine is that the private offer is specifically attached to the name of the individual buyer, so it will tag along with you should you switch dealers.

I know I can switch dealers but do I get at the back of the line again?

Tim Bartz stated you’d retain your private offer but lose your priority scheduling, ie back of the line with the new MY23 orderers.

I doubt AWD hybrid will be offered this year...most likely not until 2025.

Either way, changing engine (or body code or PEP/trim level) will put you at the back of the line. It is a major of enough change to be the same as a brand new order. Price and incentive protecting will no longer apply to the original order date (it would be protected @ whatever date the change from EB to hybrid is made).

But all orders for 2023 will be new. Are you saying that if you don't put in the exact same order you had from MY22 (that didn't get scheduled), you'll lose your place? Or are you saying if you tried to change it now?
