I guess I’m one of the lucky ones, I ordered my truck in January and got it in May. I didn’t like the XLT trim package so I decided to use that money to get the towing package and the AWD engine and then mod as I saw fit. Not disappointed at all. I love this little truck. It does everything I need it to do, not to mention the boys at the Farmers Market where I work are all jealous and then lose their minds when I tell them how little I paid for it. And now the used ones around me are selling for $40,000. Glad I got mine when I did!

If you're interested adding cruise control using Ford steering wheel switches are explained on several threads and it's easy to replace the tail gate manual lock with a power lock assembly and wire harness that lock/unlock with the remote like doors do.

Looks mean. The cost of the XL and the interior alone are enough to shun the higher trim levels. Killer truck!

Where do you get the wiring harness?

Where do you get the wiring harness?
You can try to order from your local Ford dealer parts department, I'm not sure if available or on back order. (also do a google search using part numbers if none available) When I ordered the parts the numbers were: JB3Z-9943170-A for the power lock assembly (the key will also still lock/unlock) and NZ6Z-14A412-B for the wire harness. I lowered the spare tire for easy access to the body wire harness connector where the new wire harness connects to. The original non power lock assembly has a wire harness to it (for back up cam), you will replace that wire harness with the new harness that has the wire for the power lock included. It plugs into the original body wire harness connector. Tip: tape the new harness to the end of the original wire harness before removing the original wire harness and use the O.E. to pull the new harness in, it's a tight fit and hard to fit through if you don't. (make sure to tape the correct end of the new harness so it goes in the direction you need.) Tip 2: tape the outside handle of the tailgate to the tailgate to keep it from falling to the ground when you remove the lock assembly bolts that also hold the handle on. No big deal if it falls but why let it. The tailgate will lock/unlock when you use the key FOB or door switches, very convenient.
