Who thinks we'll see a price increase for MY2023? Will it be a slight increase? Or is it going to price a lot of people out of anything but the xl trim that really wanted to stay around that 23k-24k range.

Right now, a hybrid xlt with nothing but a $100 trailer hitch added on brings the MSRP on a 2022 out to $23,955. That's with Ford's destination charge included. This is the order I would put in if I could go back in time. I'm really hoping I don't get priced out of a mid-level trim with the 2023.

Ford's got the xlt trim perfectly priced in my opinion for what it offers, would be a shame to see it hiked up.

With the present price of gas, higher resale value and higher demand, Ford could easily make the hybrid and EB the same base price rather than having the hybrid at a lower cost. May see that. Otherwise, I am guessing about a five percent increase on trim cost and about a seven percent increase in option. Obviously, your guess is as good as mine...

Yes, not only prices will only go up (a lot) you will see a lot of decontenting. We have already seen a glimpse of it with the sudden unnanounced change to the heater controls by removing the digital controls on the heater.

I suspect that we will see that there will be no lux package for the XLT, just the Lariat, and that will not include heated steering wheel, and possible no heated seats. No CP360 for XL. Probably manual heater controls for the XL (and possibly the XLT.) The loss of the 8" screen for the XL to the 4" mini screen with older style controls. Less tie downs across the board.

How much inflation has there been since the Maverick was introduced?

The price is definitely going up, just a question of how much.

Ford is also going to try to remove constraint items to ensure they can build as many orders as possible. Either that or they are going to up the prices on constrained items to attempt to drop the number of orders.

I think that does not bode well for the price of the hybrid. It is a constraint item and Ford can see people will pay far more than MSRP to get ahold of one. Ford might figure they can charge more and capture some of that dealer markup in the MSRP. Even if they make the hybrid equal to the turbo in cost I think they will close the orders on the hybrid by the end of September due to demand. They can only make so many and will have all the 2022 carry-overs to handle as well.

I think we had between %8-12 inflation this year... That's between $1600 & $2400 price increase. (Rough estimate)

Didn't they just jack the price up on the Lariat by a grand on 1 July? Did not hear about increases on XL and XLT. What was that all about? They are not accepting orders for MY22 and the orders that are in "should" be price protected so this increase should be more centric toward MY23 I be thinking. There I go, thinking again.

Got my Xl and am ordering a new truck next month. I can wait it out now. My Dealer gives ME MSRP. No games. Cash speaks. Happy Trails! I think I'm going to stick with the Eco. Hybrids don't seem to be solid. My XL is. Battle tested!

Not a single car manufacture pegs their price to inflation. The whole point of the Maverick is to compete with entry level sedans. I don't see a giant price increase.
