So here is an question that is bothering me. I have not been given a build date for my September 18, 2021 XLT EB Lux w/CP360 yet. If I get a build date in Late August for an October build, and it takes 6 to 8 weeks to reach NJ, am I actually buying a leftover at premium prices? Something doesn’t seem fair, and what if I get rolled over for a MY23, will the constraints disappear?
If it's a MY22 you will have price protection. I'm not sure about those rolled to MY23 but I saw someone post that Ford did give price protection with the Broncos.

Ford can't just make constraints go away. They're based on availability of supplies.

what are you basing those numbers on? IMO, there's less than 30,000 total orders left to build at this point and we will shortly have June produced numbers to add to the 66,500 already confirmed. Then they have all of July, August, Sept + 3 weeks of October until production stops.
I think the 30k-40k number (for rollovers) is high as well, but a few things are worth keeping in mind:
  • "All of July" is technically only 2 weeks of production, as the plant is shutting down for two weeks in mid-July.
  • For the remainder of MY22, there's likely a significant difference in build capacity at the factory vs. component availability - i.e., Ford may very well build anywhere between 6k-10k per month over the rest of the MY22 production cycle (except for shortened July & Oct), but many of those may end up being bare bones dealer stock builds due to unavailability of constrained parts (Hybrid batteries, Lux package & CP-360 electronics, etc.).

And only half painted because they ran out of your color, but don't worry... You get $50 in fordbucks!
Depending on if it was the top/bottom half versus the front/back half, I might be ok with it.

I called my dealership yesterday, Victory Ford in KC, because my wife received an email about her Maverick but I did not. The sales manager told me that mine was scheduled for August possibly because I ordered the First Edition pkg. My wife ordered a base Maverick and only added cruise control. He said mine was price protected but he was concerend that if we have to roll to a 23 for my wife that there would not be price protection. Just a big waiting game :)

I thought cruise was only part of a package and not an option.

Good point. I mean they HAVE to be prioritizing the first edition orders, right? Those guys could potentially be VERY upset if they get rolled to a 23.

I stopped by my dealership today to check my options after receiving my email to change or wait. The order manager checked online and said no changes could be made. He smiled and told me I now have a VIN with a build week of Aug 29th. My Maverick was ordered June 12, 2021. Looks like my 1st Edition could be one of the last 2022s.

Based on the information from @fordvideoguy during this mornings members only lot walk video the dates have changed. Matter of fact just about all of the old dates have changed.

I expect this Tuesday's live stream (E47) will be the most viewed to date. The vehicles shown, options given and time lines discussed were fascinating. The reminders were very important and the options on what to do in various circumstances were very important. I'm glad I'm a member only and super informed thanks to @fordvideoguy who tirelessly researches, communicates, prepares and never disappoints with the volume of factual information you can't find anywhere else.

Did he say he was going to recap what was in this secret video on Tuesday? Sounds like it was a good one.

I expect the new information along with the past week's correspondence with the Brand Manager will be part of Tuesday evening. The "Is it true" and main topic(s) of discussion will be must watch material.

I cannot imagine how left in the dark non MTC or LM YT subscribers feel about Ford's ever changing business model.

I live in rural SW Colorado with limited Internet options. No streaming or YT video watching for me with with only 1.4 Mbps upload and download speeds  I do appreciate the recaps here of Tim's presentations immensely (y)
