Area 51 Maverick so glad I changed my color

My order was confirmed Dec 21' and still haven't heard anything from Ford about a production date. Only plus side is saw a Maverick with the area 51 color in my town. The area 51 color is definitely different in person than what I thought it'd be. Since seeing it in person I've changed my color to the hot pepper red. Thanks Ford for not building my maverick yet so I'm not disappointed in my color choice. Now I'd like to get my maverick by the end of the year!!

Haha I did the opposite. I changed to Area 51 after seeing it in person. Of course I wouldn't want a red truck either so we have different tastes.

Oh trust me I'm beyond frustrated waiting so long for my truck. But would rather get a color I like waiting so long than one I didn't. Just a way to make a frustrating situation somewhat okay lol.

Have you seen the hot pepper red in person? I saw a HPR Maverick at my dealer. In bright sunlight it is more of an orangey red.

Guess you have not seen the Cactus Gray in person?? Too bad, as it rocks with class!!

But, hey, Ford will probably give you a lot more time to decide by not rushing to produce your order.

I've never seen Area 51 in person but I don't even like it in pictures. Color is all personal preference, though.

Mine is Hot Pepper Red as well. It actually changes color when it gets darker and changes to red when the weather changes to dark.

Mine is also Hot Pepper Red. Appears orange in the day light but the color will change to red when the sun goes down!

I have a FE so I was trying to decide between Rapid Red and Area 51 since my choices were limited, didn't want gray. Rapid Red is a fantastic not to mention rare but I just couldn't get my head around the blue and brown interior with the RR, just didn't look good together. So I went with Area 51 and I'm not disappointed. RR still looks better for the exterior but for the overall package Area 51 is best. Ford should have offered a black interior as an option.

Color is totally subjective.

I’ve seen cactus grey too and yes it is nice! Who knows doesn’t seem like I’ll get my truck this year so I could change my mind again
