I'd agree with you, as long as they are not adding ADM to customer ordered I'm fine with that. Stock or abandoned orders are theirs and they can charge whatever the going rate is, that's capitalism. No one is forcing anyone to buy them and considering I could turn around and sell my FE when it comes in for $$ more than I'll be paying how can I complain. As long as they're not adding an unknown ADM to special orders, I couldn't care less that they're adding ADMs especially when people are gladly paying it.
The only time I think people should be wary of a dealership is when they try to whack someone with an ADM after they've made a special order at agreed MSRP or less.
Exactly, the only dealership I would "avoid" is one who screws over a customer who made a special order and waited many months for their vehicle. Even Long McArthur charges an ADM and Tim Bartz has contributed more to this community than anyone and I think it's well within their rights to charge an ADM.I'd agree with you, as long as they are not adding ADM to customer ordered I'm fine with that. There's a good chance they're not actually for sale. They usually are automatically populated on their site for inventory even if it's a special order. A lot of dealers do this just to generate interest and sales leads and keep someone waiting in the event the special order sale falls through (ie, customer doesn't want or can't get financing). If they're smart they take a photo of it as soon as it rolls off the truck and put it on their site in order to generate sales leads, even if it's a special order that is technically "sold"Iāld be curious to know how they got their hands on so many, when there are a ton of us still waiting on ours.![]()
