Meanwhile I ordered in September and only have the tonneau cover….but nice find👍😎
Meanwhile I too ordered in September and all I have is a tailgate damper, tailgate letters and a tension bar for my bed.
Meanwhile I also ordered in September and have the hood protector that hopefully won’t add any hood shake.

5K, But I didn't have to wait over a year for a pickup and I didn't want my wifes choice of an Accord. She is thrilled with the Maverick. So what is it worth to you to not wait a year plus to get your new ride?
It’s crazy that dealers can just mark up $5,000 for literally no reason and people are ecstatic about it

I was not thrilled but when I searched carvana, cars.com and other sites it was on the low end of theft and bribery. Also the last car I will buy from them. Bottom line I knew the markup up front. Some folks have waited a long time to be blackmailed.

Its not the worst markup, while they all suck I understand having to bite that bullet sometimes. At least its not a humble brag like you found some rare gem. You cut the line and paid the tax for it. not the end of the world. Some dudes act like they had a miracle from above the way they talk about paying 5k+ over as if that's hard to find a maverick when the truly hard part is not getting your wallets back blown out.

5K is the going rate and you don't have to wait for a retail order to fall through in my area. I expect a ten month wait for my hybrid XLT at MSRP. That's a $500 per month savings.

There are cases where a $5K markup seems worth it and this is probably one of them imo. You're going to be under water on the truck for a long time but you skipped 12-14 months of waiting. If you actually needed a vehicle in that time period and you passed on this you could have been screwed. Enjoy the truck!

I mean... With this mindset you shouldn't buy groceries (up 10% this year) or a house (up 25% this year) or really anything else for that matter.

One thing I think all these ADM's will lead to is a major adjustment to Ford's pricing. It is pretty obvious that the price equilibrium is much higher than they believed it would be.

That was part of my decisionmaking. I expect the price to go up. I was expecting loong delays after ordering the pickup of my dreams and my wife was already shopping for a hybrid . I figured if we were going to spend stupid money at least get something I was interested in and a passenger car was NOT it.

I understand the advantage of patience and not paying a premium, but your ability to wait when your 35 is different than when your north of 70. It would have been nice to wait, but I don't know what the price or options will be on the 2023 Mavericks, or the build time delay after the order is placed.
Don't let anyone tell you what to do with your money, if it makes you happy then you did the right thing. I do know what your mean about waiting entering my mid-sixties.
