If you think you can nudge anything heavier than a fully loaded costco cart with those types of bars your will be disappointed. If its just for looks or mounting lights go for it but for protection it will probably end up nugding it into the bodywork.

Oh and you think most aftermarket off road accessories are for actual use? LOL ( see hi-lift jack on hood for reference examples)

Lets face it, the maverick just isn't designed for this sort of thing. Neither is the bronco sport for that matter.

You're right, of course.

As an example though, the tow hooks for the Bronco Sport and the Maverick are the same part number:

https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/body/other-body-related-parts-front/front-towing-hook-13291931-1

It looks like they removed the tow hooks to attach the nudge bar.

The distance between the hooks may be different, but it tells me that the hooks are at least attached the same way.
I believe the frame is different without the fx4 package. Without that, the tow hooks can't be easily mounted and thus, I believe, this will only work on fx4 optioned Mavericks. If that is fact where this mounts on the truck.

I did see Black Horse Offroad supposedly makes a bar for the Maverick, but neither versions appear to be actually available. Also no actual images installed; they all look like photoshop jobs.

You can put a hi-lift jack on the hood of a camry and it will still be a hi-lift. I keep mine tucked in the bedside of my comanche. I use it or atleast the handle about once a week. I just tie it to holes in my bed rails with paracord and quick pull knots. I have however had that same jack that I aquired used in 2006 mounted to the side of of a roll bar in a CJ7, the hood of a CJ5, the bumper of a 84 Bronco, and the floor under the bed in a 79 Quadravan. I never bought any mounts I just welded a a couple bolts on and made T-knobs for em.

You are right, they are not, of course the original Maverick wasnt designed for drag racing either but it was damn good at it once modified.

The thing is that most vehicle can be improved upon through modification. But there are limits. Can it offroad, yes I believe it can. That bar wont help much and could actually hurt. A lift is most important, and good tall tires, Trimming low hanging plastic off of the bumper would be good. For lighting I would mount slim lights in a modified grille for best effect, while retaining aerodynamics. The thing with theses bars is that they only protect you from very small branches that could potentially break your plastic grille. But I would just recommend not driving into too many shrub bushes.

If you really want the look and protection but dont have the skills to fabricate your own stuff, then you will have to spend the couple thousand dollars for someone to build you a better front bumper. There is enough structure there to support different bumper but It will take alot of work to make it look good.

Your car is what you make it. Any car can be built into any thing. They made a pinto into a airplane once. Didnt work well, but it flew.

There is no frame its unibody, but there is bolt on structural supports under the bumper and the fx4 has a more/different ones. That what the hook mount to. And thats the part needed if this bar is possible to mount in that way.

This is correct. The actual structural mounts are not on the non FX4 packages.
