Probable stupid question here but how do you get a navigation map from an android phone up to the handy dandy display screen?
Also does anyone have trouble seeing it on a bright sunny day?
Thanks for any insight on this !!!

There is an app named "Android Auto" that will send the phone screen to the Maverick display. You need(AFAIK) to have the phone on and connected to the USB port of the display.
I am a complete ignoramus about cell phone usage, and was able to get it working(it almost works itself...). I do not remember, but may have invoked Google Maps app and then connected to the Maverick.

Just invest in this: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/612579/pn/010-02036-06#inTheBox
and you won't have to mess with your phone.
Then you would have another unneeded item on your dashboard. The 8” touch screen is perfect when paired with your phone (everyone has their phone in their vehicle anyway) and the screen is not great to look at anyway - it’s very easy to use for navigation or your music, etc… many easy ways I found googling here’s one

I use Night Mode on my Waze Navigation. I think it actually appears better in bright light.

Sorry, I am not everybody. I do not have a "smart" phone because of all the information they gather from your use. I use a flip phone and it is just that, a phone. It is not something with a bunch of games and other stuff on it. Also, I don't google anything. I search for it on a different web site instead of providing Google with my private info while providing politically slanted answers.
Yeah, I'm one of those. With my background, I know a little more about this stuff than most. You may think I am a nut but that doesn't bother me. I was just trying to help. Perhaps I should just keep quiet (lots of you would love that) and let everyone go their merry way.

WOW!!!! Thank each and everyone of you for helping me on this. Great responses all, ya with your help it is now working as advertised. I did not have Android Audio or know I needed the USB hooked up, dumb as me right. No point in reading the instructions until ya waste 2 hours trying to figure it out LOL. This site and the people here are much better than reading a book!!!

Your a wise person, I used to be just like you yet at my age now don't really care what they know as they can kiss my a**. It seems to all be coming to a head at the end of the year and they have enough info on all of us to line us up against the wall. But I feel they just want us for slaves.

I have a 2022 Maverick and I'm having the same issue. My cell, an Samsung3 Android is synched to the radio, I can make and receive call, listen to Pandora and Spotify, but cannot get Google maps on the display. I've watched several YouTube videos and followed the instructions, to no avail. Interestingly, when I touch the "find mobile apps" button on the display, it says "no apps found." I'm wondering if I should delete my phone from the Maverick and reconnect?

By the way, this Android is a 14, which is newer, but i downloaded the Android Auto app anyway. Nothing helps.

Have you plugged your phone into the usb port? If yes you may need to change the cable as some are power only and not data.
