Here's a question I am sort of hoping @fordvideoguy will answer, but I'm posting here with the thought that the information will be helpful to anyone still waiting for their Maverick order to be built. It's also possible that other dealers active on this forum and/or @Ford Motor Company may have additional information to add.

My question is this: if you receive a private offer (cash rebate) from Ford, or have access to the Farm Bureau $500 certificate, can you use that AND still get protected for Ford Credit financing based on your order date? I have seen several posts recently from people whose dealers have told them it's either one or the other. Use the cash rebate OR get the old financing rates (0% for 36, .9% for 48, 1.9& for 60, etc.).

So, for those of us waiting for our trucks and want to finance at the protected rates, is it worth us even bothering to join the Farm Bureau or try to submit a private offer to our dealer? Or are we giving up the ability to use the old finance rates if we do that?

Thanks in advance for anyone who can shed DEFINITIVE light on this!

I posted this a few minutes ago in another thread. I hope this helps.

Key to using the Farm Bureau cash and getting the now expired Ford incentives is to back date the reward. If you use the current reward, I believe Ford rejects it as being invalid since you are going on order date (e.g. 2021) and the 2022 reward wasn't yet valid. In the Farm Bureau site, enter your order date for the sales date (I believe you choose the already purchased option) and you will get a 2021 code. Give this to Chapman, and they will then be able to enter it into the Ford system so you can get the reward.

Ah, so you get it on a technicality! I like that. Can @fordvideoguy or someone else form a dealer confirm this is kosher? Back date/enter order date as sales date and dealer will accept certificate in tandem with protected finance rates.

Also, this only pertains to the Farm Bureau promotion. What about any private offers Ford might send you directly?

As far as I know it only pertains to the Farm Bureau promotion.

Not sure if it is a technicality as Ford themselves were the ones that gave me the heads up. When I was in the process of getting the deal sorted out and running into the issue with the promotion, I called Ford and outlined the situation. They walked me through what I needed to do and I went from there. No issues after that. I am guessing the promotion was running into the guardrails inherent to the Ford system so this was the easiest way to get around it.

Oh, I'm GLAD you were able to use it. Means I can too, assuming Ford builds my truck this year. I was kind of counting on 1.9% for 60 months AND the $500 Farm Bureau cash. So, if indeed that's the way it works out, that will be one of the few (only?) things that has gone smoothly with the whole Maverick acquisition process.

From the farm bureau site
https://www.fordfarmbureauadvantage.com/

*Farm Bureau Bonus Cash is exclusively for active Farm Bureau members who are residents of the United States. $500 Bonus Cash on the purchase or lease of an eligible new 2020/2021/2022 Ford Maverick, Ranger, F-150 or Super Duty®. This incentive is not available on F-150 Lightning, F-150 Raptor, F-600, F-650 and F-750 Super Duty®. This offer may not be used in conjunction with most other Ford Motor Company private incentives or AXZD-Plans. Some customer and purchase eligibility restrictions apply. Must be a Farm Bureau member for 30 consecutive days prior to purchase or lease and take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford Dealer's stock by January 3, 2022. Visit FordFarmBureauAdvantage.com or see your authorized Ford Dealer for qualifications and complete details.

And yes you can back date the rebate up to a 1 year (that is what the customer help relayed to me) from the time of purchase as long as you already met the requirements at the time you purchased the Maverick. You just need to generate a certificate and foward that along with the VINCENT code they assign you to the dealer to enter into the system. It should get approved almost immediately and you'll get a $500 rebate check in the mail a few weeks afterwards.

Now I haven't tried to submit it to Ford so like someone else mentioned you may have to prove you were a member in 2021 as it says there next to Farm Bureau Offer.
When I did mine the salesman at the dealer entered I think it was just the VINCENT code assigned to the certificate number into the system and was approved by FORD the same day.

Just FYI if you joined the farm bureau in 2022 you will not be able to generate a 2021 certificate, which it sounds like you need to keep price protection/lowest interest rates. The oldest certificate you can generate seems to be your first day of membership with the Farm Bureau.

I would think that if you have a valid certificate from the Farm Bureau/Ford promo site that would suffice.

That and the VINCENT number assigned to your account and cert. My understanding is they use Smart Vincent to validate if you are eligible or not.

From what I am being told I can use it even though I signed up in Jan 22, I just wont get price protection. In my case its better to take the $500 and lose price protection, but that may differ on a case by case situation.
