Called ford yesterday and they told me that the only thing holding my truck up is co pilot 360, was wondering if its worth it to remove it or just wait it out ? My dealer said keep it but idk if it can speed things up then is it really worth it ? I just wanted to power mirrors .... I am starting to wonder if I can add power mirrors by adding a harness myself ?

I looked it up for someone else, the main wiring harness for the truck is spec'd to not provide power to the mirrors on an XL without CP360. Essentially, without doing extensive electrical wiring on your own or replacing the entire $900 harness with who knows how many hours of labor, it's not really achievable. If you want power mirrors, CP360 is your only realistic method.

I think CP360 is worth it just for the Blindspot monitoring and cross traffic alert alone but for power mirrors on the XL, definitely.

Lots of threads on here about Copilot 360. Opinions all over the place. You're gonna have to make up your own mind about it. My input - having owned a Volvo with ADAS systems for 3 years now, our family will never buy another car without an ADAS system.

I like to say you're the safest driver on the road until you're not. That's where ADAS comes in. They call them accidents for a reason. That one time you're distracted - the ADAS equipped car isn't.

Only you can gauge it's worth. If you want the Maverick to possibly arrive sooner, then maybe removing the CoPilot 360 will speed things up. My first priority is my safety, so obviously I want any technology that will make my ride safer.

Your choice.

Personally, I think it is a must have. I have been waiting on a build since Aug and have never considered dropping it.

By the way, I got a build date two weeks ago. 4/18/2021 🤞

I would advise against removing it. There is no guarantee you will get a build date any faster. Side note - if you don’t have a hitch, it’s the best $100 add you can do during build.

Hello the simple answer to this is it a no-brainer if you happen to be drowsy or your wife or your kids and happen to drift left and head-on with the semi the 360 copilot will alert them and keep this from happening or to the right and telephone pole . Or help you or a loved one to stop before you rear-end another vehicle or to see that person that's all in black at night that you can't see to me it's $500 well spent !!!!! How much is a human life worth ?????? just my opinion but I truly in my heart I believe it's worth it.👍🤔 I'm waiting for my Maverick with the co-pilot 360 and it and it's been going on 9 months😎

For me it was a no-brainer. The safety features are worth it, and power mirrors and full size spare (EB, hybrid is standard) are gravy.

Keep it, some things in life are worth waiting for.

At this point in time I would not try changing an order, you may very well end up with nothing until next model year.

I only had a rental car with these features and I really enjoyed the added safety so I put it on my order. A bonus is your insurance will probably go down having 360. I was shocked to learn from my insurance company that my future 2022 maverick will be cheaper to insure than my 2013 Nissan Rogue. Long story short in 5 years it will pay for itself financially, but if it ever saves an accident it’s priceless.
