Gas deals?⛽️

With the price of gas being what it is these days I’ve been looking for ways to save $. Everyone knows Costco has good prices but I found a couple deals others may not know about which I thought I would share. Having a hybrid I don’t have to fill up very often so maybe these discounts will get me through

1. 7-11 Rewards - first 7 fill ups are $.11 off
2. AAA - through Shell - $.30/gal off your first fill up and then $.05/gallon off after

Anybody else found some good deals?

Chase Freedom Flex Credit card gets 5% back on gas purchases for the first year.
T-Mobile customers can get $.05-$.10/off per gallon at Shell with the T-Mobile Tuesdays app every week.

I go to Sam's' or Costco(usually $.10-$.15/gallon cheaper) and use my Freedom Flex card, but the lines are getting longer.

Yes, the last fill up at Costco was a 30 minute line BTW, love all those people changing lanes when 2 cars move and then they wait even longer Very entertaining while you wait

Gas prices should be falling soon. Just have to wait for the gas companies to get their last pound of flesh in before they respond to crude oil prices. If you've got a hybrid and can stretch it out, that would probably be the best deal.

I use GetUpside. It usually around .15-.20 off per gallon. I like it because you can just open the app when you need gas sans see what’s in the area. You aren’t tied to the same station.

Sheetz around here seems to be the lowest prices besides Costco and Sams club

I have multiple credit cards that have cyclical categories: Chase Unlimited and Discover It Both have gas at 5 percent cash back a quarter every year. That is 20 cents back per gallon at $4.

I also have the Verizon credit card for yearly gas cash back. 4 percent on gas stations and grocery stores.

The Ford credit card does 3 percent in points at gas stations. Not great as you only get 1.5 percent cash value back. But it gives a $200 statement credit yearly if you get to the $6,000 annual spend requirement.

I play this game to get coupons for Circle K. Usually free drinks, chips, or 15-25 cents off a gallon.

I use an app called GetUpside. It gives you cash back on the app. It'll show you nearby gas stations and the cash back you'll get from using the app. Once you build up money you can transfer to your bank account, get gift cards, or transfer to PayPal. I will say that not every cash back offering is super great though and it's super variable.

I use the GasBuddy app with their payment card linked to my checking account. They can get you lower prices from $.05 - .25 off depending on location.

The trick with Costco is to go 30 mins before closing, seems to usually be empty then. Convenient for me as its right by my house.

I thankfully only use about 25 gallons a month. Nearly half that with a hybrid. Not worth the effort to save at most $100 a year. But if i drove a lot of miles i would be compounding deals. memberships plus cash back card.

A lot of the Sheetz around here have E85 which is usually around 30 cents cheaper per gallon than regular unleaded. That's my go-to.

Costco has good prices, but I won't wait in a long line. 30 minutes of my Saturday is worth more than saving a few cents a gallon
