I just closed a deal with Chapman of Horsham last week and they held to the original July 2021 agreement on pricing - No price increases, No ADM fees, same as quoted when ordered.

They took the MSRP price and subtracted the difference between the MSRP/Invoice, then took that number and subtracted the 4% off invoice, which was exactly what they provided when I placed the order in July 2021, saving of around $1,800.

The only difference or additions was they increased the Dealer Processing Fee (Was $395, now $422) and added a fee for Out of State Internet Fee $17.75.

Overall, I paid around $45 more in fees, not markup or price increase than what was quoted.

I was very happy and pleased with the way Chapman of Horsham handled the complete process.
Fantastic, thank you for taking the time to share! There's plenty in the world to worry about; this being off the table is a welcomed relief.

From Ashlie:
"Ford is basing price protection on the order date and the last submitted dora in the order bank. We will honor the % under invoice discount we offered you at the time of ordering."

So it sounds like orders placed before the increase are protected and shouldn't see a price increase.

Hope this clears things up!
Thanks!!

Thanks for your reply. Maybe I am reading too much into your reply, but I read it as they did not price protect your order, but did price it at 4% under invoice. Did you confirm they used the old invoice and MSRP amount in arriving at their calculation? Sorry for the confusion, but when I asked Chapman Horsham for the price of my order all they ever say is they are honoring 4% under invoice, but refuse to acknowledge the old invoice amount before the price increase.

I stated in a previous post that Chapman told me they wouldn't honor my originally signed and ordered DORA but have since picked up my vehicle and edited my post to reflect that Chapman IS In fact sticking to the original pricing and offering price protection with the only change being the new doc fee that they wouldn't budge on. Twenty bucks won't kill me though...

Glad to hear this. My Lariat is at the rail yard waiting on a transport truck 40 miles away from dealer. Mine jumped $890 so was concerned about them honoring the price protection. Glad to know they are an upstanding dealership. Everything so far has been on the up and up.

I ordered from Chapman Horsham in July and Maverick arrived at my courtesy delivery dealer couple days back, l am picking it tomorrow. Woo hoo!!

Chapman have honored the price that was in DORA at the time of ordering and also 0% 36 months Ford financing offer that was available when l had ordered.

They are very busy so at times you have to wait for reply or follow up couple times but they are honest, transparent and helpful as per my experience.

They connected me with local dealer for curtesy delivery and didn’t even take any refundable security deposit for the courtesy delivery. Overall l recommend them wholeheartedly.

P.S.: l agree with few other members on financing instead of paying all cash if you get rate under 2%.

Thank you. Been looking for this information for awhile now. Very helpful given all the delays and changes

Yes - Chapman held to the original 2021 MSRP / Invoice quoted price and still gave the 4% below invoice on my deal. I believe, I read another post where the Price Protection is based on the order date and last DORA submitted to guarantee the protection. My deal could have been based on that I ordered in July 2021 and took delivery March 2022. Chapman never once tried to "Pull a Fast One" on me and was always up front and honest. IMO - Chapman will give you the best deal possible and will only add extra cost as a last resort. I wouldn't hesitate one second to go back to Chapman of Horsham for any future vehicle purchases.

For reference, It took about a week, maybe a little longer for my car to get to Horsham from the Wilmington Port where it was dropped off by rail.

Can I ask who you worked with at Chapman of Horsham? My truck is in and I've been trying over the last week to clarify why my price went up $187 from my quoted price in July. This not including the increase to $422 doc fees. I am working with Matt and I asked him to honor the price that was quoted in July and I pointed him to this thread about price protection and this was his reply:

You have not been re-invoiced. The DORA estimates what your invoice and MSRP will be. This is why it says prominently "This is not an invoice." The attached document is your just final factory invoice. The other Chapman locations did not offer the kind of discounts we did on their orders. So, it's easier for them to price match your DORA as a courtesy. Let me know if you would like to proceed with the sale.
So i'm wondering if other customers at Chapman of Horsham are just swallowing these price increases or are they just singling me out for some reason? Just want a fair shake.

In this day and age, $187 is standing in your way of buying the truck?

How does this answer his question? Perhaps he will buy the truck, even if he can’t get it resolved. But does that mean he shouldn’t try, and does it mean he shouldn’t be pissed if they don’t honor the original deal?

First, I would go line by line from the original Dora compared to the inoi e to determine the differences. Then compare them to the price change document (posted here on MTC sometime just before Christmas when Ford did the price increase.) If I am remembering, the increases were in cp 360, lux packages, sunroof....and probably a few other things.

I don’t feel compelled to answer his question, I asked whether $187 was standing in his way of buying the truck.

If it’s worth more than a week of his time and frustration to try to reconcile $187 on a 9 month transaction with multiple price increases along the way then I’ll wish him well. Sometimes the juice isn’t worth the squeeze and it’s best to walk away (with a brand new truck after the long wait).
