Is the Hybrid powerful enough to tow a boat?

I would not have too much fear of towing this weight depending on terrain, distance to the water, steepness of the boat ramp and how often you are planning on doing it. I towed a boat, 2100 lbs. with a 1974 4-cyclinder mustang for eight years. Did have to replace the clutch from slipping it so much on one steep ramp. Still have the boat and it still purrs like a kitten. Plan on towing with EB and no tow package.

2100 lbs, included trailer.

I think you're more than fine. if you're really worried fill the boat up at the marina and kick out the family on the boat ramp...

I do the same and I live in the NYC area where there's hills too. You're going to be fine.

Lol u serious? I've got a similar Lund and it's heavy, boat/motor/trailer. You should be looking at F150s or maybe a ranger. You could do it but would white knuckle if anything sketchy, local ramps prob be OK. You shouldnt even consider a hybrid mav towing a boat like that.

If its only 2100LBs with the trailer. Its only a little bit over. Even if it was 500 LBS over they have a buffer. Car companies know most people aren't counting the pounds.

The boat plus trailer plus all gears should be less than 2000lbs.

That's situational and even then could be hard to prove. If the Plaintiff even thinks it could be a factor. The 4k Maverick can do it same body, most people would not bat an eye and do a numbers game.

I think they just meant to tow it empty, then fill the gas tank at the lake/marina. Also not pulling it out of/putting it in to the water full of people to lower weight.
