Chapman Ford Price Protection - any recent Chapman purchases care to chime in?

Well my Maverick is built. I asked Tom if my confirmed order price before the January price increase is protected but he never responded back to me.

I asked Steven with the same question and he sent me a new DORA with the new increased prices.

Mine is a Lariat with the Luxury package so it’s a $890 increase.

Did anyone else get their truck from Chapman and paid the price increase?
Just got my window sticker this week and the total price increased by $1090.00 above the DORA price that I signed in July. Waiting for an answer from my dealer.

From what I heard they gonna adjust and give you the initial price then get rebates from ford 45 days after the sale for the difference.

That would certainly be the customer focused approach but I'm not certain that some Ford Dealers care about customer relationships!

Just heard back from my dealer and they assured me that my deal was indeed price protected. Having dealt with them at another of their dealerships I trust their word!

I ordered a maverick in summer 21 from chapman ford. got a new Dora with price increases.

Below is ford Chapmans email reply when I asked if my order was price protected. Not sure what EFC means and not sure if I should be following up with ford or with Chapman. Waiting to hear back from others who get their mavericks From Chapman.

According to the Ford EFC it’s supposed to be automatic

I believe EFC means "Electronic Field Communications". It would be great if someone would post the actual EFC on this.

I ordered from Chapman back in July and just today got my notice from a Chapman sales rep that my vehicle is delivered and ready to pick up along with the final invoice attached. The email had this little disclaimer at the bottom:

*the POC/DORA may not be the final invoice price & only an estimate…Ford/Stellantis occasionally has price increases during the course of production…once the vehicle is produced, we will be invoiced from Ford/Stellantis…we will provide you a copy of the invoice & honor our pricing discount (ie % under invoice/$ off MSRP) in this email thread off based on what Ford/Stellantis invoices us at time the vehicle is produced.*

After asking about the difference and seeking clarification this is the response I got:

Your offer of "4% below invoice" goes off your final factory invoice provided by the manufacturer. It should be attached to the last email if you would like to look it over. The Dora is not an invoice, and it says so on the bottom right-hand corner. The PA doc fee went up for 2022. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

~$850 bucks more expensive and no price protection in effect here.

EDIT: I picked up my vehicle today and was able to get price protection which honored my Dora pricing at time of ordering. Just gotta ask. Chapman was easy to work with and personable through and through.

Getting shady...

Every other dealer seems to be price protecting as Mother Ford planned, using the same DORA form. We all know it is not binding but an honest dealer would not collect from the buyer and Ford when that is not the plan nor Ford's intent.

Down the road this won't work out for this Chapman dealer.

I'm disappointed, I didn't expect this from them.

Which Chapman? This is the first I've heard of them raising the price. I ordered from Ed at Chapman Philly and he's basically explicitly said what I was quoted back in July is what I'll pay. I guess we'll see when my car is hopefully delivered in the next couple weeks

It appears you’ll be fine; that Chapman dealer is supporting Ford’s price protection.

That is good news to hear. I am in a similar situation where I ordered in 2021 from Chapman horsham and looking for price protection from the price increase
