That's the ugliest f'ing thing I've ever seen! LOL!
To each their own, I'd love to see another small pickup option, and that would be the smallest. Here's an actual video.

But that was 5 years ago, so its vaporware. If anything, I think they might start making the Fiat Toro and bring it over as a Ram Dakota as mentioned. Four door pickups are going to be way more popular than two door.

Under $22K and a Hybrid. Anything else and it's just another face in the crowd and no competition for the Maverick. As gas goes higher, the hybrid looks better and better. Wish I had mine already!

There is greater demand for the Maverick hybrid than the Maverick EB. So, if there isn't a Ram Dakota Hybrid, then they will just be chasing their tail and adding another cute little gas guzzler to the unibody pickup lineup. From the link, it is a nice looking truck.
This has been in the South American market for several years as the 700. It will only challenge the Maverick if it has a higher payload and higher mileage.

I'm not sure I could ever buy a Jeep, but admittedly that looks pretty cool.

Its really a Fiat with a Jeep skin LOL. Tho thinking back what would have that looked like if they had actually produced it ? Would have opened the door for small pickups sooner possibly.

Nothing says "can't be used like a body on frame truck" like sweeping angles where the bed meets the cab. The buttress is there because a squared off section would snap the unibody in half. I'm honestly very impressed the Maverick managed to get 1500 lb payload while holding a sharp angle there.

All this being said, the Dakota and the Maverick can fight all they want over who gets to never @%^&*$(*! arrive in my driveway.

Had enough of poor Dodge reliability in a Durango. Cracked manifold, poor hose quality, vacuum leaks... on and on. Had to give it up as scrap. Never again.
Not at those prices and not a hybrid.

I've owned enough Chrysler products over the years to know that I'll never buy another. As of right now, there is no competition for the Maverick.
EXACTLY!!!!!!!

I've had 3 dodge products over the years. 2011 dodge caravan with first gen 3.6 Pentastar, 2014 jeep wrangler jku and a jeep 2010 commander. Always loved dodge styling with functionality. They hover, cheap out with the parts suppliers. Wrangler was a good example. Had the HVAC fan bearings go after 2 years. Dealer said they couldn't replicate the problem. Had the radiator go twice. HVAC controls would blink for 10 sec before responding (I replaced with updated eBay one). Had extended crank problem. Was a defective camshaft sensor (replaced it myself). Had a squeaky brake petal if temperature was above 25c (defective brake booster). Radio part of the stereo stopped working. Straw that broke the camels back was a screeching sound under light acceleration at 50km/h ( 2 years and could not track down the issue). It was literally stressing me out driving it. Never took it off road (unless you consider Canadian weather offroading. Traded it in for the maverick. Wife got rid of the commander for a 2018 Subaru crosstrek 6spd too l Don't think I'll ever own a FCA product again.

If Ford can keep the base price of the Maverick in the low $20k area they will be hard to beat. Let it creep up and others will steal their lunch.
