My dad had a red interior on his F150, probably 92-94.

The designers mentioned in a few interviews that the interior is supposed to feel reminiscent of older truck designs. Simple straight and flat lines, no curves. It definitely has a very eighties feel to it if you ask me.

My first car was a 1988 Camry All-Trac manual with blue interior. Everything in it was blue.

IMO, people used to be bolder in color. For some reason, which I will never understand, black, white, and beige are more popular now, and adding a little blue will offend some people.

Yep, that blue reminds me of high school, lol!
While I'll admit that all of the Maverick's interior designs fall pretty flat for me (ESPECIALLY the Lariat), I absolutely admire their courage to do whacky stuff. My weekend car is blue with a red/black interior and I love it!

Yes I agree, I have a 1988 Jeep Comanche and both the exterior and interior are blue and it is a sweet combination. Vehicles today are too dark or too wild - the blue/gray/white/orange accents in the Maverick are well thought out and go well together. I ordered a CGM XLT and I'm pleased with the combination of exterior/interior look.

My dads 1987 ranger was black with a red interior. Red dash, red vinyl seats, red wheel. We also had a 1988 Tempo that was blue with a complete blue interior.

Oh man. That interior brings me back to driving from New York State to Seattle and back with my parents 3 across in the 1987 Ranger bench seat. Ours was red/maroon and vinyl and it was certainly cosy. I learned to drive stick on that trunk too. Thanks for the picture.

Yes, please. My current VW GTI has the plaid seats and I love 'em. We need more bold design. All the SUVs being churned out are all so Zzzzzzzzzzzz
