I ordered Mavericks from two different dealers. Thought the first one was canceled months ago. Apparently not!
I've been receiving status emails on the canceled Maverick's progress. I suppose the dealer didn't cancel it. lol
Both are supposed to be delivered this month.

I was going to just let the canceled one slide. But seeing all of the insane pricing on used units at Carvana and Vroom has me thinking.

Why not go ahead and buy both? Sell the original canceled vehicle for a small profit. Much less than what the dealer would if they got the opportunity.

I wonder how long I'd need to keep it, before letting it go? Maybe right after the title processes?
What do you guys think?

How about stop being greedy and let other people a chance to get one.
Actually that's exactly what I planned to do. I'll sell it for less than the dealer will.
A GF's coworker wants one. But they are hard to come by. I can buy it and get it to her cheaper than she can on her own.
Dealer will probably add $5K or $6k to the MSRP, if I don't buy it.

If you cancelled with the dealer and they receive the Maverick anyway, they will not sell it to you for the original agreed price.

Who did you cancel it with ? Did you call the Ford Customer Service number or did you call your salesman at the dealership ? If you end up with it and sell it on your own, I think $2,500 over your total price including taxes is fair.

Looks like they didn't cancel the order.
And I will be buying it at the original price I signed for 8 months ago.

That's what I was thinking. I contacted the original salesman 8 months ago. And told him I was going to buy it else where.
He called me today and gave me an update on its location as though I never canceled the order.

Heck, they might not have in the first place.
