Where does that end? The dealer did their own damage control to make sure no more speculative and accusatory videos get posted. It wasn't to protect the customer, it was to protect their reputation from seemingly baseless accusations. You claim it as an admission of guilt when really it's to protect them from morons with a social media account dragging down their reputation. This kid posts nothing as proof just hearsay but still, the dealer has to save face because of accusations. Just like society when it comes to social media, you're guilty as soon as someone posts it to youtube/tiktok/facebook/instagram/etc. The social media warriors will be out in full force with pitchforks and torches despite the lack of solid evidence and I'm surprised there isn't a gofundme for this kid to raise $1,000,000.00 to buy a loaded lariat.
So you are defending this greedy dealership? The mere fact that they are charging that much over MSRP says enough. Yes, they can do what they want and folks can post what they want when they feel the've been screwed. Never thought I'd see the day someone would defend a greedy dealership, but here you are. Tell you one thing I'd trust what this young man says before I would a dealership or even Tim for that matter, becaue he is just covering their collective asses.

Tim said back when, if they did Adm that it would probably be around $2,500 well this was $7,500.
I have watched every single livestream that Tim has done on the Maverick and he has most definitely mentioned the increase in ADM from the original $2,500, several different times. I'm not going to offer my opinion on whether I think an ADM is right or wrong, but Tim has done his best to be as transparent about it as possible. And he addressed this specific issue this past Tuesday night. To me it seems like a failure of communication with both parties, and Tim is really only tangentially involved in it. Let's give the dude a break.

I am more than glad to give Tim a break! So when does the customer that they mislead via their salemen... when does he get a break?

Yes, I defend companies that are trying to make a profit. You call it greed, I call it supply and demand. It is what it is. People are willing to pay 10k over MSRP for a base bare bones Maverick, why would a dealer sell it to you for MSRP? I run a side business and although I provide services, if I sold goods and had less access to them you're damn straight I would raise my prices to keep my profits at the very least consistent.

You mean the guy who didn't order a maverick ahead of time? The guy who thought he could just stroll into a dealership, cut the line in front of everyone who has been waiting since June/July/August and pay MSRP? You want to give THAT guy a break? C'mon, man.

Farley said he doesn’t like this. Well put your allocations where your mouth is. Don’t send them not one more maverick this year regardless of orders or allocations.
Seems simple.

If the salemen told him he would sell it to him for that price, you damn right they should have honored it. But instead they decided to be greedy and do damange control. Just speculation on my part I think he would have proably been okay with a couple of grand over MSRP, but $7,500 is a bit much! GREEDY, GREEDY!

Since when has a verbal agreement meant squat in any sales situation? Like I said it's hearsay and we have no proof either way, I don't believe it for one bit.

Good luck with that
I’m not the one who said it, has the power to do it, or even care. But if he doesn’t act, then is he a liar?

He's the CEO of a for profit publicly traded company. He's going to say whatever is required to keep the share prices in a good position. His duty is to the shareholders.

I am sure you are right in that regard to having something in writting and that is the lesson he has learned. However it doesn't mean this young man cannot tell his side and that this dealership get the wrap that they clearly deserve. My opinion is that if your salemen that represent you makes a committment then you have to honor it and then deal with him. But you know common decency and being honorable instead of greedy seems to be a thing of the past. Sorry I cannot defend that.

Like I said, there is no proof either way. How are you going to sit there and say the salesman did something wrong when you have no proof. I really hope you're not a cop/lawyer or judge.
