He told me same thing but with a $28 Doc fee increase after the 1st, and it held true. My Maverick was ordered on 11/30, window sticker on 01/17 with $110 increase for CP360. Maverick delivered on 02/07 and price was what Ed gave me on 11/30 + $28 increase in Doc fee. But no change on price of the Mav.I asked Ed at Chapman about this and he specifically said my price was locked when I ordered. So I don't expect to see an increase
Please keep us posted on how this goes down; I suspect Tom will make this right. Perhaps there was just confusion when trucks started rolling in with the adjusted price...Well my Maverick is built. I asked Tom if my confirmed order price before the January price increase is protected but he never responded back to me.
I asked Steven with the same question and he sent me a new DORA with the new increased prices.
Mine is a Lariat with the Luxury package so it’s a $890 increase.
Did anyone else get their truck from Chapman and paid the price increase?
Nice, I wasn't worried but glad to hear they stuck to their quote. My Mav just got built and shipped the other day, so I should be getting it soon.He told me same thing but with a $28 Doc fee increase after the 1st, and it held true. No, I did not finance. I'm retired now and I feel better just paying for it in full. I hope they hold those great rates for you.Nice, I wasn't worried but glad to hear they stuck to their quote. My Mav just got built and shipped the other day, so I should be getting it soon.
Did you happen to use Ford financing? I'm wanting to take advantage of the .9% 48 month deal they had, which went up recently to 1.9. Ed had told me that promo rates would be locked in as of order date despite future increases
I hear ya. I'm fortunate enough that I could pay cash, but couldn't turn down rates like that. Even if I have to do 1.9%, that's only like an additional $600 over the life of the loan (if I finance the whole thing). Not the end of the world, but I'd obviously prefer 0.9%!No, I did not finance. Chapman Philly for me. Ed Simpson is the sales guy who said price won't changeOne thing that needs to be clarified is that there are two Chapman Ford's that were offering deals - Philly and Horsham. Most people here probably ordered from the Horsham location since they were the ones who posted here. From the responses so far, looks like the Philly location is doing price protection, while Horsham might not be?
Both locations are up front and honest! When I first talked to Chapmen of Philly, they assured me that they are owned by the same group, but just two locations - When I first ordered, I started the ordering process with Chapman of Philly and then my order was processed by Chapman of Horsham. They both are the same. One thing that needs to be clarified is that there are two Chapman Ford's that were offering deals - Philly and Horsham. what difference does it make RIGHT NOW- before they tell you your truck has arrived? Stop stressing about it- does no good at all. If you are looking for some other reason to bail on the truck and want to use this as an excuse go ahead. Otherwise wait until you get the call they have your truck- and THEN ask them to verify the price before making plans to go get it. If they held your price- no worries. If they raise it- then make your decision based on whatever criteria. Even IF they did, is $890 a deal breaker? It's not like you have many choices for a similar vehicle and would still be less than comparable Santa Cruz for example.Thats what I am asking, thank you @TooManyVehicles
I do not have a window sticker. I ordered in August. So I would like to know if I will be charged an extra $890 when its time to pickup my truck. I initially understood it that I was "price protected". But again, in light of the previous thread - it appears that I might be charged more, almost 1k more. Pretty bummed considering I put an early order in (early-ish), and still have to travel from south Florida to Philly.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with being informed. I keep reading conflicting information and want it to be cleared up. Pretty simple, and relevant.what difference does it make RIGHT NOW- before they tell you your truck has arrived? Stop stressing about it- does no good at all. normally would agree, but you're not trying to just stay informed. You apparantly want reassurance that Horsham will honor the price for your peace of mind right now. Othwerwise you wouldn't keep asking for stories from other people. Nobody here can guarantee you that, you'll just have to wait it out until the truck arrives and see what happens. There was at least 1 other poster on here tying himself in knots worrying about whether his dealer *might* add ADM to his purchase even though there was no indication that would happen. Almost cancelled his order before even being notified his truck arrived. Turns out he got wound up for nothing and deal was as promised initially. Don't lose any sleep over it and just wait until the time comes to deal with it 1 way or the other. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being informed. Thanks for those who have updated the thread with your stories, though it looks like Horsham (who I have my order with) might not do the price protection?![]()
This thread was started over a month ago. I was directly asking the dealer if they can respond. That is what forums are for.
