Started out at 18 miles on the odometer from the dealer. At 3/4 tank, 431 on the odo, added 10.7 gallons, which calculates out to 38.7 mpg!

That is all-around driving, mostly eco mode when I drive it, but there are two other people driving the truck.

Picked up the truck on 8 January, and it has been a chilly month, so the heater has been running, and I live in a hilly part of the world.

Good mileage. I only got about 35 miles on my first tank, but I never used Eco mode.

I think he might be calculating based on 413 miles (431-18). Then his math is only slightly off (38.6 mpg). :ROFLMAO:
But he will never know on that initial tank because he doesn’t know if the dealer completely filled the tank....

The gauge read full, and it was quite a while before I noticed the gauge had dropped!

And yes, the math is 431 - 18 = 413 miles, and some fudging for rounding on the gas pump and odometer readings. As the internet says: "Your Mileage May Vary"!

I have done two fill-ups over the two months I have had my Maverick and have driven 678 miles while averaging 40.6 MPG. At least 200 of those miles were highway miles with cruise speeds of 73 or 78 MPH.

Total miles driven = 678.00

Fees cost: 193.00, per mile cost: 0.285
Gas cost: 49.58, per mile cost: 0.073
Insurance cost: 82.81, per mile cost: 0.122
Purchase cost: 26226.30, per mile cost: 38.682
Wash cost: 6.00, per mile cost: 0.009

Total cost: 26557.69, per mile cost: 39.171

Gallons: 16.68
Miles per gallon: 40.6
Average price per gallon: 2.973

Finally a nice day here in Northeast Ohio, 60 degrees. So I took the hybrid on a little trip to see how she would do. Mostly rural up and down little hills, 40-50 mph.

I so look forward to the better mpg of the hybrid AND not having to buy super unleaded any longer.
