Good news, bad news. The salesman told me it was damaged and then sold it to someone else!

What tonneau cover did you get? The reason I ask is the first edition package says soft roll up. Tim Bartz did a video on FE Maverick and it had a trifold cover. Just curious I have the exact FE 22 Maverick on order. Build week 3/14. Love the pictures. Thank you for sharing your story.
WHEN EXACTLY DID YOU ORDER THE TRUCK? i HAVE ORDERED MY ON 09/06.

Oh lord.

So many words, no understanding of civil suits.

What, exactly, would be her monetary damages?

Loss of innocence?
Hours of drive time?
Massive disappointment?

Simmer down, Perry Mason.
It costs money to drive to the dealer, run the electricity for the computer, lost wages if it cut into work hours, etc. those monetary things start to add up quickly and when you have a provable fraud claim those "addons" can be what pushes it beyond a fraudulent breach of contract. They had an agreement and if she had documented it this way along with the carfax report showing he had sold it when he claimed it was received damaged and sent back, she certainly had a legal leg to stand on civil suite or for a report to the BBB or a consumer affairs office.

Advice is free and there is no obligation to take it.

Sorry to hear about your delays, all I can say is hang in there! Once you get your Maverick you will love it. Found mine well worth the wait of 6 months. Only complaint I have is the fuel gauge does not seem to go down LOL

@GreenLady. I'm so happy you got a better truck at such a great price and from a wonderful dealer. Good for you being a good person in a stinky situation and coming out of it smelling like roses. Maverick Truck Club is a great community, and it's kind of humorous and ironic that folks here had enough time to respond, assist and review, since so many of us have 3 extra months to wait for delivery of our trucks. We're all living vicariously through those of you that have a truck already. So excited for you and your spiffy new Tyger! MTC roars!

DID YOU ASK FRO PICTURE OF THE DAMAGE? I do want to sound negative but dealers are realizing that are leaving money on the table getting the cars directly from Ford, that is not the same money the are getting it if they sold is through them. if you have the VIN number-track it down. You never know.
One of the members did track it and it was sold the same day I was heading down there.

For the record I have read every message, every page. I've been reading since day one of this thread.

I just checked the Google reviews for the latest. So far they have replied to all the one star reviews with canned statements. The only one star review they did not reply to was @GreenLady so I guess they are trying to reach out. What would I do? Move on. Block their number as spam, never take their calls and never attempt business with GY again. Bozard will benefit from this fiasco.
Wow, Even I have had a hard time reading every message him!Interesting! Thank you for checking! I’m still not inclined to call them and apparently they have stopped calling me now. I am just hoping that Ford gets a hold of this and reduces their allocation.

Wow, even I have had a hard time following and reading every message so I definitely commend you for reading the whole thread! Thank you!

Very interesting about the reviews and thank you for letting me know they’ve replied to all of them but mine. I don’t know what they can say as a response to mine since mine is the truth. I only heard from them yesterday and nothing since. I’m still not inclined to return their calls as I have other things to do and they are not a top priority!

Apparently Bozard has already been benefiting as one of the other MTC members has called Patrick and asked to be put on a waitlist.

When I was over there today for the buffeting tonneau cover (which had not been tightened properly) Patrick gave me a book, Be The Sun, Not The Salt by Dr Harry Cohen. This was a book that evolved from a Ford dealer managers‘ corporate retreat (I’m guessing no one from GY Ford Daytona attended). In the beginning of the my book is Bozard Ford’s mission statement: “We build caring, trusting, lifelong relationships between ourselves and our customers, providing for our mutual success”. Then there are 7 steps listed as to the way they build trust. I have no doubt their mission statement is a major part of their salesmen training which is probably the reason they are so successful! Ask your dealership if they have these books as a gift to customers, it could be a glimpse into their customer philosophy!

Thank you! I could not have done it without the support of this wonderful MTC group! You will love yours and I hope that will be fairly soon!

@fordvideoguy Hi Tim, maybe this would be a good topic for Tuesday or Thursday: increase of vehicles damaged in shipping.
Or vehicles not damaged in shipping, just sold to a higher bidder!

When my truck arrived at rail yard and sat there for almost 3 weeks, I thought it was strange even with Covid ,etc. I spoke to a sales manager about this as its less than 2 miles away from dealership. Two days later I got the email from Ford saying it had been delivered. I waited until 3p, no call from salesman. Drove down there and it was out front and clean. Called dealer and asked if it arrived. He says oh I'm not sure....Grrrrr. calls me back 20 mins later, oh it's here....picked it up an hour later and I said, no, no, no and no to any add ons. Gave them a check and will do all of my oil changes , etc at other dealer 20 miles further. Was not the best experience. Waited 6 months and 2 weeks for my XL Hybrid. I absolutely love it! This is only about 25% of the experience with this dealer. Have not received the fits accessory kit and when I ask this dealer, they don't even know what I'm talking about. Reaching out to Ford today. Always go with your gut and if you feel something is fishy, ask for details, etc.
I’m glad your experience ended up relatively painless! I was afraid you were going to tell me that same type story as I had!

Please go back and read the posts on this - every question has been answered at least 5 times.
Yes, it’s hard to follow along when the thread becomes soooo long😥 but I do try to answer everyone’s questions as they have taken the time to read what they can. 🙂

Any way this thread could be shut down? It is starting to be groundhog day, with the comments ...

For me, well I read them all, enjoyed it, and now going to ignore.
