Hope lots of people drop that lux pack. I'm not dropping mine. Glad I did not select the CoPilot 360.

Also I'm an XLT and they had already dropped the SIBL by the time I ordered so I'm getting a drop-in. Wonder if there is anything else in the XLT lux pack that's constrained.
When did you place your order? I ordered the same truck as you.

Preach. I've triggered several fangirls here because I'm kind of tough on Ford over this. But, they said they'd be able to build trucks. They can't. It's not personal. I don't think Ford intentionally got our hopes up and is twirling it's mustache watching us be disappointed. They are missing out on money by not being able to sell me a truck. But, they are also out of touch with current expectations in terms of customer service and I think they are handling this poorly. I think just a few emails over time saying what's holding back production would go a long way to shutting a lot of us complainers up. They're the only game in town for what I want, so I have to wait it out. If another manufacturer can produce a compact hybrid truck with decent creature comforts and can actually deliver, I'm in.
I like how you used "fangirls" in an attempt to be more derogatory. Since, as we all know, being referred to as female is obviously a negative.

Just heard @fordvideoguy (Tim Bartz) says that there is some truth about the Hybrid, Co-Pilot 360 and Luxury Package/SIBL delays. View the video below and take a listen, he busted a lot of myths.

It's not that everyone who has these items in their order are moved to MY '23. Or that they definitely will not get built this year. Or production of these have stopped for the remainder of the model year. That is inaccurate.

But what is accurate is that they are now forecasting that now that the order books are closed and they know exactly how many units they have left to build in the '22 Model Year, they now are forecasting they will not have enough parts/components/microships for all the Co-Pilot 360 ordered units, the Luxury Package units and Spray-in Bedliners for every single person who ordered (and such equipped Hybrids as a result). But by the end of production for the '22 MY, they will have enough for most. But many of them may get pushed further out in this year's production as they will be building less of them along the way due to the constraints.

Production of Co-Pilot 360, Hybrids, Luxury Packages and Spray-In Bedliners continue. The production is still happening. But not everyone is going to get them, though. There will be some late purchasers who may end up having to drop these to stay in the '22 Model Year. He went through all the Long McArthur orders scheduled, showing that there are still Hybrid and Luxury Packages being produced this month. Production has not stopped, as some dealers/members have reported. But the constraints are real. He said especially ones with more semi conductor chips (Luxury Package components, like heated steering/seats/tech items, etc.). Hybrids also have more chips and affected too. Ford confirmed to him that they are experiencing Maverick chip shortages.

Dealers are probably calling to encourage some of their buyers to drop these items so their customers can get their units this year. And they make their money this year too. :) And this is probably why we are seeing chatter among members related to dealer calls.

And if some people drop these who do not really want them or were on the fence about them, or not really caring about these items, they will likely build sooner and they may end up having enough for all those who ordered.

Another interesting note is that Tim says you can modify orders, even though the order window is closed. BUT, you shouldn't change Trim levels because it will modify your order date and could put you at the back of the line. You also can't change to Hybrid, of course. You also cannot change if your order is locked by the Region (Priority Code 2) or if you have been scheduled.

WHAT WOULD WE ALL DO WITHOUT TIM?
I have an XL hybrid with a spray-in bed liner. I have a VIN and a build week (2/7) which was just pushed to 3/17. I ordered at the end of August. I am having a very hard time understanding how a spray in bed liner could possibly be a constraint to production. I would cancel the bed liner, but no one from Ford has contacted me, assuming that is the item causing my production delay.

Hybrid XL with CP360 ordered on 10/22... Wonder if switching to 2.0AWD would speed up/ slow down the build date? hmmmm

Collectively as a country.... We are all idiots. We see the "Supply line" issue and scratch our heads. Delay here... Delay there. No spray in liner... No 360.... Hybrids delayed.

Has ANYONE said to themselves... why?

It Alllllll comes down to only one thing. The world relies on China for pretty much everything. Spray liner, missing a few key chemicals to make the spray liner... No Liner. No electronics for the Hybrid.. Well... they are made in China.... Missing parts to make 360.. Yup.. Made in China.

Everyone is scratching there heads why there and my 2 ordered trucks are delayed...Blame China.

Just figured they'd be the kind of people who that would trigger even more.

"Blame China.! That's rich.
Blame ourselves and our short sighted business structures and processes. We CHOSE to outsource all these supplies for short term cost savings. This was done without regard to strategic supply risk or the long term health and competitiveness of our industries.
When consumers value only the lowest price and businesses value only profits for the immediate quarter, this is what you get.

I'm not blaming ourselves. I'm blaming the idiots in Washington DC the changed the rules and laws that made it possible to leap frog the world. Stealing and spying paid off well for them.

It's chips now that are in short supply.... Chemicals for spray liners... How long before they say they are having issues with chemicals to refine gasoline at American refineries? We do not make a drop of the chemicals here in America.

Except supposedly the SIBL chemical shortage is due to a chemical plant in Texas that was damaged due to the weather a year ago.
SIBL relies on key chemicals that are made in China for part of it's production. .

SIBL went offline for a few weeks last year from a winter storm. Almost a year from today.

I have had a XLT with co-pilot 360 ordered since June 14 and I agree with you.
