If MY22 orders are pushed to MY23, what's the impact to pricing? Do we pay 2023 prices, or would we receive 2022 prices?

If Ford has done this before, I'm hoping someone can describe how pricing was handled on orders rolled over to the next model year.

My order is early Oct - Lariat Luxury Hybrid. I will not be changing anything about it. If it gets pushed to 2023, that’s fine with me.. though I hope I was early enough to avoid that.

Either way, I am not concerned. I know I will get what I ordered eventually, and likely this calendar year.
I also ordered a Lariat lux hybrid with copilot. I asked my dealer to remove the hard roll tonneau (because of constraints), and he let me know that he couldn't do it. Hoping that I'm priority 2. Is that priority code specific to the region of the country? I'm in new England.

Hope lots of people drop that lux pack. I'm not dropping mine. Glad I did not select the CoPilot 360.

Also I'm an XLT and they had already dropped the SIBL by the time I ordered so I'm getting a drop-in. Wonder if there is anything else in the XLT lux pack that's constrained.
I want mine! Specifically 360! That has the blind spot monitor. Ive had a few cervical spine surgeries and I need that blind spot monitor. I would rather wait for MY23 and get what I ordered. Not in that big of a hurry, longer I wait the more I get my trade in paid down the better my down payment. Have a 19 Ranger for a trade in. I also ordered with Lux PKG which comes with a spray in liner. Im not going to drop my order, will just wait and see.

Priority 2 is the same regardless of which region you are in. But it is the code that the regionals use to hold your vehicle to look at possible scheduling.

I love my blind spot indicators and other CP360 features. Sounds like you need it. Hold tight.

I was told by my sales manager that 22 orders don't get automatically rolled over to 23, they have to be reordered. And there is no price protection from Ford, they might do it in some roundabout way with rebates, but no guarantee. Now that is just a tiny dealership in Central Oregon, maybe he doesn't know jack.

I'm leaning more to canceling my order, going to wait a few more weeks before I decide to do it if nothing changes.
I had a guy come up to me in a parking lot today asking me how I liked my Maverick. I told him I loved it. I let him check it out. He mentioned to me that he ordered a Hybrid in June from another nearby dealer (different than mine) and he became impatient and canceled it in November, frustrated by the dealer and Ford. He said he was told it would be in production in September/October.

He saw it at the dealer this past weekend, he stopped in as someone else was buying. He said he was devastated and wished he had held out.

He decided on Monday, he called a different dealer and then found the news out that Maverick books are closed this year. He said he thought he was showing the dealer something and possibly Ford by cancelling. I held my tongue and didn't say anything to him, except commiserate. He's now going to look for one with the lowest dealer markup he can find.

Based on the timelines, he must have been scheduled very shortly after his cancellation. He said he received no status emails. Maybe the dealer switched emails on the order or even the name? Have no idea on that.

I have been saying all along, don't cancel your order. Even if you want to walk away. Even if you buy something else. Just let it ride. You don't lose anything. It won't teach anyone a lesson in customer service if you cancel. You are the only person who loses out. The dealer wins big if you cancel. Now they get markup and more profit. Ford wins, they won't notice one bit. They will still make the same amount of Mavericks and profit this year. Even if 5,000 people cancel. The demand is so great. And then some random stranger wins big, they get your Maverick (and happy to pay the exorbitant markup).

If you hold out, you are in control. I know you feel frustrated and powerless now. But keep your options open. All the way until the Maverick arrives. What if you don't like the car you end up getting? What if you total it? Accidents just come out of nowhere, ask @STARCOMMTREY1 . What if you change your mind? So many things will happen in your life until the day that Maverick arrives. Stay in control. Keep your order! You don't have to buy it.

Not what I wanted to hear, but I appreciate the info.

I ordered from a what I assume is a large dealer in Oregon (Landmark Ford) in late August. Take it for what it's worth, but the last time in spoke with my sales guy in mid December, he said none of their hybrid orders had been scheduled.

Could be an a$$ and tell you to take time to listen to the video or read all the comments. In the past Ford has made it right that they give you rebates etc to make up for any price increases.

After all this, I stopped by my dealer, South Bay Ford today. They said that they had heard of this delivery delay but had no first hand knowledge from Ford as yet. They checked and my order (Lariat lux hybrid) was still valid but no production date yet (ordered 10/13/21). While there, I saw an EB XLT Ready for delivery. It had the spray in bed liner. According to the dealer, it had been done in post production prior to shipping by Line-ex. The spray job was uniform but the Rear access panels and the tie down hooks were masked (and quite poorly), not removed first. There was some overspray on these items that will assuredly prove to be a bitch to remove for the new owner

From the looks of the SIBL I saw today, maybe they are farming out that work offsite down there.

2005 Chevy Silverado, sounds like it's giving up.
All this talk about dropping this dropping that on your builts.. SUCKS Because I can't no longer change my vehicle as of September, stuck on priority 02 and all this new/old constraints on my build, gives me no hope for a build date coming soon... I'm throwing in the white flag if I by the end of month no build date. HATE HATE HATE ford's way of doing business with their customers. Definitely my last vehicle from them. Any way GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL TOMORROW!!!
