If I'm not mistaken you need to call the dealer to change the code for the Luxury Package to change to the DIBL, the code is different from the original with the SIBL.

Same here. Ford changed the package recently, so all the late XLT lux orders have DIBL automatically.
Oh wait I read the original post wrong. I thought he said on the new version of the package with the DIBL , for some reason it was substituted with the SIBL.

But yeah I’d the new version of the package has the DIBL . I don’t see why I can’t simply change my Lux to the new version. I don’t care what style of liner I have and would hate to have that be what’s holding my build up

was told I can’t do that. They dropped my tonneau cover and changed my paint color yesterday but said I can’t swap Lux packages.

Yeah, I get it. I suppose Ford doesn't want to unilaterally just change the kind of bedliner people get, but I'd have to imagine 90 percent of people would gladly just take the DIBL if it'll get the truck built. I actually prefer a drop-in liner to a spray-in, so I was happy they changed the package. Not so happy they raised the price on it though!

@fordvideoguy said yesterday in his video you can change it but can't change trim levels. They just need to recode the package.

Yeah, but he may have said that before he actually tried to do it. Because when the dealers log into the order system, some changes are "grayed out" and can't be made, while others can. If the dealer is saying it literally won't let them make the change, they may be correct on that.

Besides, one would think a full-sized spare is exactly that - one extra wheel/tire from a Maverick. I was told elsewhere on this board that the full-size spare is a steel wheel as comes standard on the XL model. So, hard to believe Ford doesn't have any of those and can't slap a tire of some kind on the rim.

As with much of what I see on this forum, it's bizarre.
My dealer contacted me today to tell me that they had gotten updated regarding which options were holding-up various models' scheduling for production due to commodity constraints.
For my Maverick (order date Oct.20th), it is the Full-size Spare which is the apparent problem component. I suppose it makes sense given that "Tires" in general are becoming hard to get. I know, having just replaced those on my 2010 Escape recently.
Anyway, I told the dealer to drop the Full-size Spare option from my order.

Yes, Lux package 1 is SIBL and Lux package 2 is DIBL.

You can ask your dealer to change your XLT Lux package 1 (SIBL) to Lux package 2 (DIBL) provided your order isn't Priority 2.

Interesting. I have the full-sized spare on my order as well. I could certainly live without it, though I just ordered last week so probably not in line to get scheduled in the near term. I may just sit on things are they are for a bit and see where things stand.

That's not true. If they can make those changes they can change your LUX package to the DIBL, unless you have a Lariat. LUX package.

My understanding is that changes can be made unless the order is in Priority 2 so that might be why the dealer can't make the change.

Early November order. No CO 360. Eco XLT, FX4, 4K, Lux with SIBL, which I would swap for Lux with DIBL in a second but they won’t allow. Makes no sense if SIBL is so constrained why wouldn’t they want people to drop it for the DIBL?
Unless your order is in Priority 2 status you should be able to change your Lux package to the DIBL.
