The upcoming Ford Maverick now has approximately 80,000 reservations, with the largest number coming from California.

Makes sense, isn’t gas like $4.00/gal for 87 Octane. The price of housing is high, heck the whole economy is high. Why peps don't move (that are able to) is beyond me 😜

In Cali, yes. https://www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

And Gearheads who hate Cali and say gas prices are stable are wrong. The EIA uses CPI rates when adjusting for inflation, and their data only shows gas prices being flat if you zoom into specific 10yr periods of time. aka. people play with the #s to support their bias.

Hmm, a little surprising to me that July Maverick production was only 150 units, less than June's 216.
Nice bump on F150's but guessing that some of those are the waiting-on-chips ones stockpiled in various locations...

Yup it stinks, $4.55 gallon chevron 87 oct. Running a 02 tundra v-8… I’m pretty sure the Mav will at least double the mileage.
Tundra's are good solid trucks. Strong V8's. But it's true what they say - Tundra's can pass anything on the road except a gas station...

I just paid $2.75 at a Costco in St. Louis, most gas stations are $2.95 though. Missouri also has one of the lowest (if not the lowest) gas taxes in the country, which is why most of our infrastructure isn't in the best shape ha

I'm guessing the 150 produced are the units being used for the dealer training tour we're seeing pics of
You're probably right since retail production doesn't actually start until August 16th.

It’s been 2.79 at my Costco in Columbus OH. Guess it’s not too bad comparatively
