Really??? You're going to use Ford's procedure for replacing wiper blades as an excuse for people who leave their wipers up in anticipation of snow/ice? Nowhere in there does Ford recommend using this procedure as a means for keeping your windshield wipers in the up position for snow ice. They recommend it for replacing wiper blades because they know you're going to put them right back down on the glass and there won't be any issues when you restart your vehicle. Leaving them up overnight is a recipe for disaster because like I said, people will forget, or they'll remote start with Fordpass or someone else will go out and start their vehicle.Actually the post you've called out is exactly what Ford says to do. There is a TSB on this from Ford for both the Bronco Sport and the Maverick.

You have to be careful, yes. You have to be careful in lots of ways to not damage your car. But saying that Ford's instruction is why people are damaging their hoods is 100% false. People are damaging their hoods by pulling up on the blades while the blades are parked.
