It isn't a Maverick-specific custom solution, rather a DIY harness. Notice none of the speaker wires are connected. I bought it for the connector shells, it will do what I need.
As for me, I am going active front stage and will likely leave the rears stock and powered from the HU.
Ahh, Gotcha. I replaced the rear speakers (and upsized them to 4x6), and ran new wiring to the amp (since it's in the back, it's an easy run) but my signal feed is of course jacked because of the shared ground, it works just fine as long as balance and fader are centered. But I ordered up some RCA splitters so I am going to feed the front signal to the rear as well and ignore the rear feed.

I installed this db drive 10" sub station (amp built in) that handles 900watts of power. This is good enough for now. Looking to up grade the door speakers next with the db drive 6.5 speed series 2- way. This should be enough. I'm not trying to knock pictures of the walls with my sound. Just trying to get a nice sound.

Does that stick out at all when the seat is in a normal position?

Nope. In this photo I pushed the seat fwd.
Yeah I had put my hideaway under the driver seat as far forward as I could and it stuck out a decent amount…. My dumbass never tried the passenger seat 🤦‍♂️

Yeah, passenger seat was the way to go. All they had to do was remove the floor air vent (witch hardly gets used)

Working on this has made me want to do more…. Kind of woke up the kid in me that used to install systems back in the 90s (and customs in general, not just audio)…. So much so I’m now thinking about ordering a 2nd XL (this time with 4K tow and in a different color) todo different things with than I did with mine.

what I really want to do is order these trims pieces and work on a custom fab “pod” type application for 6.5 subwoofers where I’d do one on each side with the amp in a similar attachment piece to the one I didn’t behind the seats for the amp.
I feel like that whole little wide gray next to the rear seat is wasted space and I’d be able to build a pod type enclosure there without sacrificing too much usable space in the under seat bins
Actually a great idea. Remember too there is an empty space to the outside of the bid that kind of goes under the trim there. Plenty of room for a small subwoofer. For those of us that don't want thumping bone jarring bass, this might be a great solution.

I butchered my post with typos but yeah that little tray in the trim piece that creates that empty space, I want to basically invert that and utilize that space for the sub (and asthetically it wouldn’t change much (as long as the plastic pod/trim piece is done right)

Again, it's a great idea and a good use of available space that I don't use.

So, is the preferred position under the passenger seat as opposed to behind the rear seat?
Good question.

Well, it is not directly under the rear seat but you have to lift the back seat to get to it. If you lift the rear seat, you'll obviously see the storage bins. The left/right bins extend a space to the outside under the outside trim of the bins. I through a couple of polishing cloths there to keep out of sight. Anyway, it's free space and looks to me that two 6.5" woofers would be perfect in that space. A cover facing each bin will have to be fabricated, but shouldn't be an issue with most 3D printers or CNC machines.

To that idea, I was playing with this last night with THESE that you can get by with .2 cubic ft, and these dimensions were about the closest I could get

Which just so happens to line up like this:

(optical illusion from the angle, the end of the tape lines up with the end of that piece with a hole in it)
And actually, I think you could go 9 wide which would allow to cut an inch off the depth

I use the storage area under the back seats, so for me under the passenger seat was best. Also the low profile of my specific sub station gives me the option to do so. No big speaker box needed. My sound is perfect for what I'm looking for. I don't need to blow pictures off the wall of my neighbors houses as I'm driving down the street.

Right, I don't need anything more than the Kicker Hideaway 10 I purchased, but I was debating whether to mount it under the front passenger seat or behind the back seat., not in the underseat storage area. Both are out of the way, I was just pondering which provides the best sound.
