For context, my buddy runs a tire shop and says they have to order so many new sensors for customers when they use those fix cans. The sensors are very expensive...

Will everyone PLEASE write your Congress Representative and THANK them for that great piece of legislation that levied that requirement on us? The world went thousands of years without a tire pressure sensor. So please let them know how much you appreciate them for this masterpiece of legislation.

Oh and thank them for the water pressure requirement while you have their attention.

Who sells a good, durable speed jack? The crap I've bought at discount auto stores and Walmart over the years always broke so easily, and I definitely want one if I'm upgrading to a truck.

I’m biased, but NAPA Auto Parts sells some nice ones. Worked there for a decade. Still purchase from NAPA despite being gone for three years.

I need a room at home just for my bags, probably same types you have. I like LAPG bags and backpacks. seem like good quality and good price. I think I will like that rear under seat storage for first aid, 'get home bag', basic EDC and a few tools.

I don't think that link is for the actual harbor freight web site, it looks more like a web site were someone posts harbor freight coupons. I enjoyed looking at the link and clicked on the "browse all coupons" link - it was news to me.

Harbor freight is where mine come from and I buy the ones rated at 4 tonnes and a cross beam bar. But again we use them in CERT so 8000 lbs is probably a bit over capacity for a 3,8k truck

never found a jack that was too strong, had to use some too weak though.

Yeah a 4 ton jack is a bit overkill unless you want to help change tires on an F-450.

I carry the Harbor Freight 1.5 ton aluminum jack (frequently on sale for $60). It's lightweight and good for any passenger car and up to midsize SUVs and small trucks. Heck, it'll even lift one corner of my F-250 if I stack enough blocks under the jack. I carry a 4x4x12 block to stack on top and a 2x6 for underneath so it doesn't sink in the dirt as much.

I also have the Powerbuilt 3-ton all-in-one jack, which currently stays at home. It will easily lift the front of my F-250, centered under the front axle (5,250lbs). It might be easier to store since it has a smaller footprint, but it's more cumbersome to use. It doesn't have wheels, so positioning it is more difficult. It also doesn't have a return spring, so it doesn't retract all the way down on its own. I usually stand on the bumper and bounce the truck to squish the jack down the last little bit so I can remove it from under the vehicle.
